A dining experience at Rice bowl is something only an old Bangalore can relate to! I say this simply because it's one of those 20+ year old Chinese restaurant that has only gotten better with times. The restaurant now is beautifully renovated and the food options are ample for both veg and non veg lovers!! Lamb, chicken, seafood variants all are available! Ample veg options too which is not so common in most restaurants. The taste and quantity has been well retained I love the place for it!! They are not very expensive nor cheap!! A sumptuous all veg meal that comprises soup, appetizer and a maincourse shared amongst 3 cost us about INR 2500 with a couple of beers! Was not crowded since it was a Tuesday night! From my past experiences, weekends will be quite crowded! Valet parking is available. Located in the heart of the city Lavelle road with easy access to metro connectivity. Staff attitude is normal, nothing out of the ordinary. They include service charges with the bill. Good place to hangout with family, friends or even children for great Chinese food!!

The rice bowl restaurant is excellent in all aspects. Whether it's the food or the ambiance or the service it's a must visit restaurant. But, this place is hella expensive. The experience we receive is worth the price. Their customer service is one of the best aspects of the restaurant. The waiters give their opinion on the food we choose, suggest a better one and it's good in all ways.i really love this place.

Visited the place after decades. As it is one the oldest restaurants in Bangalore but has shifted it's original location which was in Brigade Road. The atmosphere was pleasant one. Quite spacious and airy. It was also good to see they do serve drinks here. I choose Kingfisher Draught Beer and it was awful. Regretted this and wsh I had some other beer. The starters were initially good but later it became worse. The chicken was average. The fish was terrible and was surprised that the standards have gone so low. The fried rice was so oily and to recollect that one period they were the best in the business. The desert was good and something different. The service was okay and could have been better.

Great food, beautiful ambience and amazing hospitality. Really liked the food, must try it's speciality spinach fried chicken. Mango cheesecake is also a must try dessert. So far the best place in Bangalore for Chinese. Really happy:)

I recently visited the restaurant to see if it still lives up to its reputation they had of of serving good Chinese and Asian food. Yes they do good old food. The restaurant's ambiance is quite pleasing, with its elegant decor and comfortable seating. The menu is extensive, offering a range of Chinese and Asian dishes that cater to different tastes. However, the prices are on the higher side compared to other Chinese and Asian restaurants in the area. The portions served at The Rice Bowl are quite generous, and I was pleased with the amount of food I received. However, the service has gone downhill recently, with the staff showing a lot of arrogance, even the valet. This attitude can be quite off-putting and affects the overall dining experience. One thing to note is that the restaurant tends to get very crowded during lunchtime, so be prepared to wait for a while before being seated. The valet parking service is available, which is convenient for those driving to the restaurant. Despite the poor service, I highly recommend trying out some of the dishes at The Rice Bowl. The Meat Special Mixed Fried Rice was delicious and packed with flavor. The Crispy Spinach Chicken was also a standout dish, with the right amount of crunch and seasoning. Another dish worth trying is the Tai Pai Chicken, which was tender and juicy. Overall, The Rice Bowl has its ups and downs. It's a restaurant that has been around for a long time and holds a special place in the hearts of many, including myself, who tried Chinese food for the first time here as a kid. However, the poor service and high prices may make it a less attractive option for some.

Amazing asian food! Loved every bit. Ambience is quite & calm. Service is great. A must try dish is the Spinach Chicken. It's lovely! Not too expensive & not very cheap! Can visit more than once!

I have been visiting this place since childhood and even now the quality, standard, taste, ambience is excellent . One of the best places to eat the most authentic Indo Chinese food. Infact all the items were tasty and delicious. Starting from the chicken clear soup to the crispy corn, golden fried prawns, chicken lollipop were all delicious and yummy . You should also try the crispy chopsuey ..it's one of the best main course. Amazing choices for a good drink as well. Also the hospitality and the staff are really good . Highly recommend you to visit this place !!!

The ambience is really Authentic Chinese, very neat and tidy atmosphere. Quite place for a dinner date with loved one's! Food taste was average, Service is a bit late there is a room for improvement in these. Location is center of the city, a walk after a heavy lunch is recommended on this street.
