The Retreat Mashobra - Hotel in Shimla, Patenglee - Shimla, India

Clean and spacious rooms. Food is really good. Lounge area and rooftop area is very cosy and we spent all our evenings there. Its full value for money and family friendly place.

Had an excellent experience in this beautiful hotel. I had stayed there with my father who was 91 yo at the time and every staff in the hotel were so accommodating to all of our needs - reflecting back I am so thankful to all of the staff for such a memorable and satisfying experience. I am sorry for posting this review so late but I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for your kind hospitality

Beautiful properly set in the lap of nature and a wonderful walkway through the forest to rejuvenate the body and soul. Excellent behaviour and etiquette of all the staff to made the stay a memorable one. The rooms are beautifully set and the interior decor is tasteful and comfortable. Would love to come back again.

We were here this May 2023, and we enjoyed our stay at this location. Away from hustle bustle of Shimla , the location promised a scenic view of pine trees and apple orchards. The interior of the hotel is cozy and nice.

Pros: Location, food, service quality, parking, peaceful location, well maintained, 5th floor terrace is with mind blowing views Cons: we took premium room with balcony which was overall nice, but could have been better if it had sofa with bedding since we were 3 adults and one child. Not a major thing, as they provided a very comfortable mattress with quilt. The way to hotel is bit down from the main road, with a narrow stretch which is comfortable to drive with.

Food service is below average. Location is a bit isolated but good views and we'll maintained Facility. Try having your meals elsewhere because the food service is below average

Nicely located in the quaint lane of pine trees , downhill walk to the hotel is a forest walk , great views from the reception and from the terrace . Has a small indoor play area for kids

Wanted to give 5 stars, really Staff is courteous, professional and transparent on limitations, great location, valley view room was amazing. They even allowed an earlier check in, i am thankful. The only star deducted is for food & I don't blame the chef (taste was okay), maybe better grade of ingredients & a higher grade menu would help.. but overall a fantastic stay.
