The Rain - Resort hotel in Alappuzha - Alappuzha, India

Great choice for a weekend getaway! The Rain is located at a calm inside route of Alappuzha with beautifully stretched backwaters as view from four of the property's bedrooms. They have a BBQ place, Swimming Pool, Mini Bar and Activities like kayaking and pooling. Indian Cuisine is served for breakfast and dinner upon request. Their service is fine but felt the property is little over- priced. Kindly be aware of getting tricked by the workers inside who will ask to pay extra for no reason.

Very nice, well maintained, hygiene, safe and family atmosphere, clean sweet water swiming pool. Friendly and Hindi speaking staff. Just few minutes drive from Alappuzha town ( Venice of India) Appreciate it Regards from Bangalore

The stay was good and it's the most scenic place during the morning and evening time when there is sunrise and moon above you. In fact, all places in Alleppey including the boathouse you will see the same view since it's on the same Vembanad Lake bed. You need to carry a mosquito net since it attract a lot of insects and mosquito during the evening. Make sure you check your bill since everything is charged including water to pins above MRP. You also make sure the extra bed is free since they told us the same but not reduced in the bill. Kids below 5 years are free and above are chargeable.

This is one of the better properties you can choose to stay at when you are in Alleppey. It's right on the banks of the Vembanad River giving you unhindered views of the entire lake in a modern hotel setting. With an infinity pool overlooking the lake, it makes for a surreal sunrise if you are an early riser. The rooms are plush and luxurious with small thoughtful touches everywhere. Service is impeccable and they make sure they cater to your every need. Food is excellent with an amazing chef in house who makes amazing local fare. We loved it here and will stay here when we are in town again.

My cousins , their kids and family stayed at the property on the 27th of may for one night. Our stay was enjoyable. The staff was very courteous and helpful in all ways they could. The dinner served was just ok and was not great. Out greatest issue was with the pool , which also is the properties prime attraction. We noticed on arrival itself that the pool was not very well cleaned and the every next day after we all reached back home everyone started falling sick. All were suffering from fever l , throat pain and chest congestion and the kids being the one to suffer the worst. I would like to ask the management as to what procedures do u follow to ensure that the pool is kept in a hygienic way?With the present pandemic situation , what measures are been taken by the management to ensure the safety of their guest?How often is the pool being cleaned and chlorinated? I can guarantee the pool was not been cleaned or water replaced in the near past. Kindly please do free feel to answer the above raised queries.

It was a heck of an experience. We 4 families spent 2 days at The Rain. Right at the edge of Vembanad lake overlooked by a vast infinity pool, every corner being photo shoot ready spots. A private place for a large family with great support staff ready to make you feel at home(literally). Only cons would be the food being a little pricy but that doesn't take away the experience you get to spend here with your loved ones.
