A small and decent place for quick munchies. Seating is very limited. We ordered - Schezwan vada pav: Would recommend this mumbai speciality. It had cheese layer in it. - Dabeli: It was okayish. Was bit spicy. - Grilled Maggi cheese sandwich: Must try. This is 3 layer sandwich with 1 spicy layer of Maggi and 1 layer of veggies. - Masala tea: Must try. Chai lovers should definitely order this. Service was quick. Prices are reasonable.
The The Mumbai Canteen, has got delicious vegetarian snacks from the streets of Mumbai to Goa. The small cafe located in the heart of Panjim is famous for its Masala Chai(Tea) and yummy snacks. From chaat and kanda poha to cheese pav bhaji, the place does full justice to Mumbai snacks. And the best part is that it is a pure veg cafe and it will amaze to see so many tasty options in veg food. Here's a sneak peek for you! They are also very quick in their service.
Was craving for a good veg sandwich this morning and that led me to The Mumbai canteen. Have been here before couple of times and the food never disappoints. I opted for a masala chai and veg grilled sandwich which was pretty good and a light breakfast for me. I recommend buying a takeaway as the seating space is less. Overall it is a pretty decent place if you are searching for pocket friendly place to have some light snacks. Another point to note, they serve only vegetarian food.
Good food. Chai is nice. There is so much Verity of food u can order.
We only had pav bhaji here. It's a small place with two tables. Since the name is Mumbai canteen, you would expect them to make good Mumbai pav bhaji but it wasn't. The bhaji was quite watery with hardly any taste, no potatoes too. The pav didn't feel like you're pav bhaji pav. Overall, it was not a good experience.
Very bad taste, everything was below par We ordered vadapav - dry Masala vadapav - said will come with chutney and stuff but was just potato Pav bhaji - bhaji tasted like some indian preparation but not even close to the authentic mumbai style, pav had hardly ny hint of butter Potato bhaji was just potato slice with besan , no flavor Aloo paratha was worst then the packet frozen ones Everything lacked salt, except pav bhaji which had excess of salt. Really hope they take this as constructive criticism Oo, forgot to mention they forgot the order after accepting it and started making when delivery boy reached the outlet... Delaying the order
Good place for quick bites. They serve all the best street foods without being on the street... Samosa sandwich is really nice... Only concern is they dont have much sitting capacity..
Wonderful casual snack or eat out place to hangout with friends. If you're a Mumbai street food lover, you need to be here
