The Mansarovar Hotel & Banquet - Hotel in Gangtok - East District, India

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mansarovar during my vacation in June 9th 2023, and I must say it is an nice experience.. First and foremost, the hotel's location good as it is located in Tashi View Point. Main market (MG Market) is pretty far as it takes almost 30 minutes via taxi. The check-in process was smooth and efficient. The staff at the front desk was courteous, professional, and attentive to my needs. They provided me with all the necessary information about the hotel's facilities, dining options, and even offered recommendations for nearby attractions. It truly made me feel valued as a guest.

I was part of a large group of Westerners who stayed for two nights this week. Three of us had a lower floor room. The hotel looks nice on the surface but underneath we found it unpleasant to stay. The room (lower floor, 108) was very damp and cold. The fan in the bathroom did not work and part of the ceiling was falling down in the bathroom. The hot water in the shower only worked for 1.5 minutes and then went cold. There was no hot water in the sink. The towels were wet. The bedding and pillows had black mould on them. The little carpet near the bed was very dirty so that walking with bare feet made my feet black and gritty. The air smelled and felt damp while sleeping. The staff were helpful and attentive when we asked for extra blankets. I would give it a two star rating as we have slept in multiple three star Indian hotels which have been a better experience.

The location: Right next to the Tashi view point where we could just take a two minutes stroll and climb up a few steps to watch the majestic Kanchenjunga in all the golden glory at dawn. The place is around 7 km from MG road where the market is located in Gangtok. It's a calm and quiet place but there are hardly any shops nearby. The room was very clean and well furnished. The staff were very friendly and courteous. They have a restaurant and the food was good. Overall the service was excellent and I would definitely choose this hotel if I happen to visit Gangtok in the future. Hotel is good. And service was also good. reasonable price .Food was best quality. We met chef, he is young but expert,special thanks for his nice professional behavior. Extra stars rating for him. Tip: Please make warm water as default serving to rooms.

We stayed here for a day in Gangtok, rooms are neat and clean with good quality of breakfast.

A very good hotel with beautiful room and bathroom with fast wifi facility. Nice soft clean bed matress. Hotel is located in a beautiful silent not crowded area which is very very near to Tashi View point hardly 2 mins walk . But but one thing i must mention the food is very very expensive provided by the hotel . So i would suggest not to order anything from the hotel . There is restaurant very near to the hotel near Tashi view point where one will get to eat almost everything delicious . Otherwise all is well ))

We stayed here for couple of nights. The location is far from MG Marg and market. The initial room given to us had some issues, like bathroom lamp was not working and condition of the room was not that good. But after requesting they gave us the new room, even there few lamps were not working. The main issue is the food. They had only 3-4 options in a dinner and there's hardly any options nearby and it closes by 7 pm.
