The Madras Grand - Hotel Egmore - Hotel in Chennai - Chennai, India

I had a great experience staying at The Madras Grand! The staff are very polite and helpful. There was no problem with leaving my luggage at the reception before the check in and after the check out. The room was spacious and clean ans had all the amenities needed like towels, toiletries and hair dryer and air conditioning. Most importantly I felt safe here travelling as a solo woman :) The only downside was that the restaurant didn't offer any vegan options. Although a few items could surely be made vegan if aren't vegan already (like indian breads or rice). All in all I would stay here again when coming back to Chennai.

I had recently visited this place with my husband. The hotel was neat, clean and spacious. Breakfast and meal offered was with wide variety of food. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had splendid experience overall... Thank you!

Use at your own risk. Not good for foreigners. Very shady place, rough environment. Rooms not as what they described on website. We booked premium suite and got a normal double bed room with an extra rollover bed for my daughter. They charged extra even after we said we have paid for 3 beds. Not hygiene. Dirty bathrooms. Bedding not cleaned, as if they re used a used one. Not even a 1 star hotel.

Superb property and epitome of luxury....if you have good money with no Budget constraints then go ahead..... Food is excellent and exceptional. Beats all 5 stars I have visited till now. Staff is extremely professional and cordial. Staff is very well trained and makes every guest feel special. Thanks a million again.

I booked Madras Grand Hotel for my wedding back in December. The ambience and staff were exemplary. We spent a day and a night. The staff were very kind; rooms absolutely comfortable. Worth the money.. ! I totally recommend this place. One thing that stood out and always will is the staff's kind behavior. I cannot stress that enough!

The location is good, but the surroundings are dirty. That's not a problem for those who stay in the hotel. Hotel is well appointed. The owner send enthusiastic to keep it that way. The restaurant has 5 tables and is tiny. Breakfast is below average. Overall, if you have a compulsion to stay in Egmore, go for this hotel.

Worst service.. The male reception is rude to handle customers. 2 people stayed in room no 308 on 20th Nov but he gave bill for one person. Despite requesting he didn't listen nor allowed us to talk to his manager. Very unethical business. The night receptionist is highly rude and argumentative.. Pistachio packet MRP has Rs 70 on it but charged 150 from us Please avoid staying in this hotel

Overall experience was awesome and well maintained rooms. Food is so tasty and food rates were little expensive... Fiid price can be reduced a bit... Rest everything were perfect...
