The Lost Hostels, Varkala - Helipad - Backpacker Hostel in Varkala - Thiruvananthapuram, India

I recently stayed at this charming hostel in Varkala and was blown away by its breathtaking ocean view. The private room I had was comfortable and well-maintained. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying the sunset from the hostel's terrace was truly magical. The caring understanding, intelligent, and helpful staff made my stay even more memorable, ensuring a pleasant experience. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with a stunning view, this hotel+hostel is a fantastic choice.

As it is on the cliff there is only walkable distance to everything on the cliff. The beach is just some stairs far. The people here were so nice. As it is hostel you can meet so many people from different places and make a hell lot of friends.we stayed in a dorm that had 4 beds. Everything was neat and well maintained. There is a quite large kitchen where you can cook and some cute dining spaces too. This is surely gonna be our go to place in Varkala!!

Rooms, service, location.... everything was perfect especially the management people, so chilled and amazing. Thank you for hosting me. I just went there for two days and stayed for 9 days. Exploring the nearby places on weekdays and parties on weekends which was arranged by the hostel management only. Each days in this hostel is now a sweet memories for me. I would strongly recommend this place to my friends because I had a great experience there. I went for a solo trip but met some awesome people there. Lost hostel is one of the best hostel you will find in Varkala!! Easily accessible from North cliff. Amazing location near to beach and all the major cafes out there! Manager at the hostel is also really friendly and ready to help for any queries we have. If you are backpacker and looking for meeting amazing people like you, Lost hostel is the place for you. Go ahead without thinking twice to stay here if you are in Varkala and looking for some amazing time there!

This place is located on cliff great location. They helped me with cancellation and rebooking for another dates it was smooth. The crowd at this hostel was cool. The managers weren't local I guess, they couldn't help me with timings of local transport. They couldn't allot the bed properly by showing the room it was more like talk to the people in the room and choose a bed. Then the laundry service was pathetic and not budget friendly. Had to mention this as they lost my towel and they charged every piece 20 bucks and didn't get the dirt off my pant. They were arranging group sightseeing for people who are interested.

Very first hostel stay of mine. Had a bit of confusions and doubtful with the decision but once the days spent the thoughts and the hospitality was simply amazing. The caretaker and the locality is so good with soothing sound of the full strech beach.

The Lost Hostel stands an outright recommendation for me for all the bachelors / backpackers and couples (not so much families) . The check-in process is smooth. We reached earlier than usual but they allowed us to freshen up and have an area to keep our bags. There is a common area for you to play games, read books and meet new people. There are 2 lazy and beautiful dogs at the entrance to always give you company. Their sea face room is truly sea facing with a majestic view. The front desk is really helpful and also the location is just at the entrance of Helipad road so easily accessible by bikes and walk. They do not have a restaurant inbuilt. Also they need to work on their AC maintenance and the hot water facility needs to be added. 5/5

A small hostel located right at the entrance of the cliff road. It is closer to good hotels and shops. It's easy to find and the hosts are nice. For the price, it's good. Dorms are clean and they change the sheets and pillow covers. You have bunk beds with curtains around. There is 1-2 common bathrooms & kitchen to cook your own food. You can park 2 wheelers outside. Would recommend if you're going for a budget stay.
