The Lazy Chef Gangtok - Restaurant in Gangtok - East District, India

I recently dined at The Lazy Chef in Gangtok and had a delightful experience. The restaurant offers a great combination of delicious food and a stunning view of MG Marg town. The staff members were remarkably calm and attentive, which added to the overall pleasant ambiance. The menu is quite diverse, featuring both Mexican and Italian cuisine alongside local specialties. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Jhol Momo, which was undoubtedly the best I've had. The food was absolutely delicious. Loved all the non vegetarian items. Mocktails were alright. The assorted platter was the star of the show. Beef Nasi Goreng, Chicken Noodles and the Chinese gravies were also delicious. Also alcohol is available. Overall, an excellent experience. Highly recommended.

We loved the live music and the food at lazy chef. Siddharth who was the singer sang beautifully and mesmerized everyone. He also sang songs that we requested beautifully. The food was tasty and because of the music we did not mind the chef being lazy. We had a lovely evening thanks to Lazy Chef and the singer there. If you are with a bunch of friends and have an evening filled with music and nice food and drinks, surely you can try this place.

Like the name the chef and staffs were really lazy in taking orders and serving us the ordered dishes. First they were very reluctant in taking orders, then they forgot to serve the dishes. It took more than an hour to serve the starters in-fact they served us the main course before serving the momos which we ordered first as a starter (which apparently they forgot that we had ordered). Finally after 1.5 hours when we got all the ordered items the waiters started rushing us for closing the restaurant. From standing in-front of the table to cleaning up the half finished plates they tried all means to throw us out of the restaurant so finally we finished up quickly and left the place within half n hour after waiting for one n half hours for the food. Coming to the good points , this restaurant is located right in the heart of MG Marg with a very good view of the street and taste of the food is also excellent. I wish we could explore more of their options..

I was highly captivated by the name that I really wanted to Dine in this cafe..except the name nothing was lazy over there..the hospitality,foods,environment everything was top-notch..i thoroughly enjoyed my eve there..They have two sections one is in-dining and the other one is rooftop..they have huge collections of alcohol..The food we ordered was HOT DEVIL CHICKEN WINGS,GOLDEN FRIED RICE AND NOODLES(i forgot the exact name) and every food were mouthwatering..I highly recommend this cafe to all the tourist who are planning to visit Gangtok :)

The ambience is good, including the layout and the interiors. Sitting out in the open porch over looking the promenade is awesome. Food is satisfactory, presentation is good. They serve liquor too. They do have live music on specific days. Prices are on the higher side. Washrooms are neat and clean. Service is satisfactory, the waitress need to be more active and forthcoming. Overall the place can be tried once if you are in Gangtok.

The chicken was hard as rock . In spite of highlight the waiter just tossed it off saying here you get chicken like this only . And they charged for it as well. The fried rice was terrible . Go to the most local places and they serve good rice and this was just so detestable ! A 100 Percent no ..for this one
