The City center fish market located in Karungalpalayam filling majorly by Muslim, followed by Hindu with majority of North Indians staying there due to the textile and groceries whole sale and retail marketers. Here we can get all types of fishes which is healthy and good to our health. Going forward there is a series of shops selling the fishes from Mettur dam and the frozen fish from Thuthukudi. Twice in a month we are going to buy fish there in city Central fish market.

Always busy fish market

One of the very few places in erode to buy fish where there are a lot of options available. Got to be very careful as the merchants can easily hike the price when you look new. Fish cutting is charged at Rs10 per kg. Very high chance of getting cheated so got to very careful. Busy on Sundays and holidays.

Get all type of fish and sea food items

We had taken sardine fish (mtti miinnn). For fresh fish you need to go early at least at 06:00 am. Rupees 120 per kg approximately. Also you can get surmai (king fish) vnycirm in Tamil. Generally all fish are fresh. Other fish you can get are paarai meen, kizhangu meen and then prawns. They can even clean and give for which you need to pay extra on weight basis.

Got fresh Vanjram fish reasonable price. Shop owner no bargaining. Located on a busy road. Good place to buy fish and seafood. Morning time preferable.
