Kanker Palace is a lovely heritage stay where you get to experience the warmth of family hospitality, great food and amazing sights to visit around.

A different experience with a personal touch. However monsoons may not be the best time because the gardens are ill kept, rooms had seepage. However the experience is different, with a meeting with Jolly, the quiet service of staff and great homely food being the high points. Plus it's a place where you can just relax without doing much. Our kid enjoyed the place very much. A nice touch was a tricycle that Jolly's daughter used earlier, was kept by her for our kid!

A Must Visit Destination in Chhattisgarh Experiencing the charm of Kanker Palace while meeting and conversing with the Royal Family was truly enchanting. The grandeur and history associated with this palace and Royal Family made our visit very special and memorable. The combination of this hidden heritage property surrounded by forest, warm hospitality from the Royal Family hosts, and the opportunity to explore the palace grounds, including the school and Royal Farm, was truly unforgettable. Kanker Palace has a farmhouse called J Farm at Girhola, perfect a hideaway in a serene environment which was great place to unwind and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We had the opportunity to actively engage in the fascinating process of transplanting rice seedlings in well-irrigated farmland. Our interaction with the innocent school children during their recess was truly heart-warming. The simple home cooked meal was delicious. The presence of western toilets and decently furnished rooms in the farm house added a level of comfort and convenience. We were accommodated at KP Cottage on the palace grounds. The place was well kept and the rooms were spacious with equally large washrooms. After settling down, we were taken for the palace visit and were pleasantly surprised to meet Rajmata ji, Maharaja Sahab Aditya Pratap Deo, Ashwini Pratap Deo and all other family members. We brought along some homemade wine that we prepared as a thoughtful gesture for our hosts which was a great conversation starter. We also had the delightful opportunity to engage in a karaoke session, entertaining our hosts by singing their favourite old Hindi film songs. This was followed by a delightful dinner featuring specially prepared local dishes made from bamboo shoots and drumstick leaves, which added a unique and delicious twist to our dining experience. Every member of the royal family and their dedicated staff especially Dubey ji ensured that our stay was not only comfortable but also immensely enjoyable. Such personal interaction added a special touch to our stay and has created lasting memories. Kanker Palace is indeed a must-visit destination. Like many historic palaces and landmarks, it holds significant cultural and historical value, making it an intriguing spot for tourists and history enthusiasts alike. Palace is only available in winter,we live in cottage,according to price not so good,but live with natural scene,BASIC facilities available.I like the place.
