This hotel quality is very Low I will definitely not recommend this hotel whether you are travelling alone or with family or with friends
Food: The food was very unhygienic the materials used were also expired. In the vegetables we found hairs and thread which made me sick
The plates were dusty and not cleaned
Service: well about their service their staff was very rude
When we came to room the room was very dirty in room bottles of alcohol was kept and
Room was not cleaned more than for 3hrs
In hotel water is not coming to the taps the washroom are very dirty geysers are not working. Bedsheets are very dirty not cleaned
Location: The location of this hotel is very inconvenient it literally takes about 15 min just to reach the top
In Conclusion if you want to book hotel in Darjeeling use your money wisely and if you have money book a better hotel with better facilities
The worst hotel I hv ever seen in my life...Wanted to give it a negative rating which it deserves but there's no option like that...The location was extremely bad and we had to trek to reach the Darjeeling mall...When we reached there we were told that a person would come to receive us but more than one and a half hour passed but no one came...The behavior of the staff was extremely rude...Some of them don't even know to respond...The food was pathetic...There is nothing to day good about the hotel...The rooms were wet and the mattress was rock hard. Not only that even there was no ventilation in the room...The bedsheets were dirty and smelly...The geysers were not working...The beds seemed to be the corpse of a bed...nearly broken...There was no door lock and security was at risk...the road was risky at night...Yhe windows led up to another room making it seem like a slum. The bathrooms were too smelly and even there were no mirrors in bathroom. The drinking water was dirty and we had to buy water from outside...
So,frnds don't waste ur hard earned money in this pathetic hotel...there are a crore better hotels at this price in Darjeeling...
This was my worst experience in any hotel ever.
1. Inconvenient Location: The hotel is most inconvenient to reach. One has to walk uphill with luggage from the point near Loreto Convent on Kutchery Road. It is also accessible from Chauk Bazaar but that again through a narrow lane and multiple staircases.
2. Worst Service: I went up to the reception at the 2nd floor and showed them my booking details but nobody was bothered even to talk properly. I came downstairs and carried all my luggage myself and waited for sometime expecting someone to guide me to my room. Finally I was told that the room booked by me had already been allotted to someone else and they took me to a nearby room.
3. Pathetic Room : The room, bed linen and washroom were too dirty. On being asked to atleast change the linen, one staff bluntly replied that those were all fresh. However, another staff changed the bedsheet and pillow covers.
The only good point about this room was the beautiful view of the distant hills from the common balcony on the front.
4. Amenities : There was no TV in the room. While the temperature outside ranged between 7degC to 15degC, the geyser didn't work most of the time.
To top it all, the staff literally forced me to pay them a tip at the time of my departure while one particular staff member came to my room multiple times offering to sell Darjeeling Tea.
I booked room 108 by seeing the misleading pics on this google page and ended up staying at room 106.
Anyone visiting this hotel please avoid room no. 106. I can't comment about the others but this room is absolutely not worth Rs1,400/- that I ended up paying.
Don't waste your hard earned money here, far better hotels available than this. Firstly they behave very rough with us, food were very unhygienic, rooms are worst, only the view from the rooms are great, they don't have any proper management, you don't get water for bath, geysers are not working. Beds are very smelly, worst experience ever...
One of worst hotels, rooms are not up to the mark, most of the taps does not have water, damp rooms, a steep path to the hotel from taxi stand, and no cars goes there to take boarders.
This hotel has a lot of drawbacks starting with its location. One has to walk up a steep incline for at least 10 mins to reach the hotel which is very difficult if you have bad knees or heart problems.
The rooms are ridiculously dark and damp. Not to mention the dirty linens, bad service and bad attitude of the staff.
The food however is good and the quantity is satisfactory.
Finally, it is a 45 minutes hike to Darjeeling Mall from the place
Trust me...IT IS NOT WORTH IT to stay at Hotel Janani Villa when you can get a million hotels in Darjeeling for the same price if not cheaper. Don't waste your hard earned money on this place.
Worst hotel we have ever seen. Quality of food is less than worst. Behaviour of the owner is rude and insolent. Lodging would give an experience of sleeping on a heap of garbage. Hotel boys(staffs are too professional a word to describe them) are fit to be called mean. Water facility is poor. Dont take risk by bringing your family, especially, babies and girl child.
Don't fall for lucrative rents! The worst location can't go there after sunset. Risky dark way and too steep uphill. No car will go there. Rooms are damp, staffs are not helping, geysers are centuries old and takes long time to heat up. Booking non refundable. So once you booked, you are trapped and your entire trip is ruined.
