The Jagannath Hotel - Hotel in Kolkata - 24 Paraganas North, India

From the photo its looks luxurious but in actual it is not the same. If you look at the price they charge it is quite ok. Staffs behaviour is not that much good but can be adjusted not that bad. The interiors they use not upto the mark. Hotel management should mainly look into this problem due to that visitors suffer. They should give their more attention on cleanliness than other things.

One of the worst hotels I have stayed in and highly over-priced. I'm sure the positive reviews for this are written by the hotel's owners or employees. It is a 1-star hotel, and priced like a 3-star or so. For the same price in Bangalore or any other such city which is even more expensive than Kolkata, you would get something much better. This placed was priced at about Rs 2200 for a single deluxe AC room, in which the bathroom's tap was not working, the toilet tap was leaking all night, the shower was not working, there was no geyser (although they mention that they provide hot water, they actually provide it separately in a bucket a few minutes after you ask for it and even charge an extra Rs 20 which is preposterous considering their tariff). They say on their website that they will provide an AC cab for pick-up and drop but they provide a khatara Ambassador with no AC at an outrageous charge of Rs 370 for a 2.5 km return trip, and then the driver also expects extra tip. When I I had to even wash clean the bathroom's bucket and mug before bathing just to be sure. I asked them for a wake-up call and they did not even do that much. The staff was courteous and helpful, though. But just not clean - when I asked him to fix the bathroom top, he started pouring water into the bath bucket from the toilet's sprinkler, which was just too yucky. The Internet also kept disconnecting intermittently. Never stay here - it might even be worse than budget hotels, and you are likely to get something better at half the price and at the same distance from the airport.

The room was real bad. The paint job sucks. It's ripping out. It's not at all secure and not at all hygenic. The room in the photo and the actual room was entirely different. The service was so poor. I do not recommend this to anyone.

If you are finding a commercial hotel then it will be a total waste of money.The reason I gave five star is for the hotel environment and the staffs.The hotel gave me a total homely environment and the view is just outstanding from my balcony.Yes if you like the traditional home,then you will like this hotel. The manager of the hotel is so friendly that his behavior and the environment made me to book that hotel again during my second visit.

From the photos offered on website, it is very different. Connecting way is very bad full of mud. Receptionist also does not behave well. However, Room is clean and service is good. The location is near the airport.

Not noticeable .. approach road is marshy.. covered in knee deep water.. the manager is quite rude.. Just one plus point.. it's 1km from the airport

Rooms are good, hygienic more importantly. Gives free WiFi service too, all over quite good
