The most incredible place, and our favourite place we stayed in Ladakh. The camp has the most incredible feeling to it, everything is so beautifully put together. Waking up in the mornings with a view of the mountains and the river from our bed (the most comfortable bed ever!) was just magical. The food was so unbelievably delicious. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved our stay. Thank you so much for having us.
Best place to stay in Ladakh. Everything is incredibly well considered and a lovely location. Best food we have eaten in a long time and we loved spending the evening looking at the stars - the telescope was so good we could even see the rings of Saturn. Truly amazing all round experience and couldn't recommend more highly.
This place blew us away. If we could, we would've stayed for more days! A perfectly curated nature oasis, right on the banks of the historic Indus River. Each of the homes are mud-built cottages striking such a perfectly balance echo-friendly and refined aesthetic. The property is something out of a dream, trekking around the land and along the river was a memory we will hold dear to our hearts for the rest of our lives. The 'main house' provides a great selection for dining, and other activities like books, telescopes, and binoculars. They also go above and beyond by providing morning yoga and bonfires after dinner every night. The level of service provided by the hosts was impeccable. And price for value was unbelievable. Couldn't recommend a place more.
Amazingly beautiful property! Clear sky, serene meadows, and the Indus river flowing by makes this property an amazing rejuvenating experience. The staff is excellent, especially Ms Jigmet and Mr Rigzin who made us welcomed and our stay very comfortable from the moment we booked till we left - from ensuring airport pickups and drops, city excursions, any food requirements, every tiny detail they looked after diligently. The food is fresh here, locally produced and varied - they make excellent Indian, continental and baked items. Excellent place to relax amidst the mountains and by the river.
Had an amazing stay at the Indus River Camp - the location is stunning with plenty of treks and sights to visit nearby, even baby camels! The food was delicious and varied. The room was flawless and full of little touches that made it feel like home. Best holiday ever!
This is a wonderful peaceful refuge, with spacious grounds, beautifully appointed cabins (so far removed from "camping"!), and a restaurant serving the most delicious food at very reasonable prices. It was an absolute pleasure to spend a few days there. The staff couldn't be more charming and helpful. I can't recommend it enough.
What a great place to stay near Leh! The location is simply awesome, and the cabins are cosy, spotless clean and very comfortable. The staff are outstanding. They go out of their way to make your stay memorable. We are grateful for everything they did for us. Totally recommended! The only thing we missed was that despite the food being very good, it was slightly short of what we were expecting at that price range. Most of the dishes were rather south Indian, some of them with an European twist. We would have preferred a more adventurous menu based on local Ladakhi cuisine than cuisines from other regions.
One word. Magical! The first thing that caught my attention was the overall positivity and the smiling faces all around :) Amazing hospitality, delicious food, peaceful setting amidst the rugged mountains of Leh, lovely kind-hearted and wonderful hosts. It was our first trip to Ladakh and it was an absolute delight staying at the Indus River Camp. It felt like home with the care and attention showered upon us. Very carefully crafted approach to individual needs of the guests. :) Beautiful insights into the culture of the region/recommendations coupled with some amazing conversations with Nico, Prachi, Jigmet and Mary. You guys really went out of your way to help us out and make our stay a memorable one.
