The Hosteller Kasar Devi - Backpacker Hostel in Kasar devi, Balt Bari - Almora, India

I stayed here for a single night. The places seems genuinely good. The infra and rooms are quite clean and spacious. I even checked the dorms and they seemed spacious. Chef Prakash is very good and has fantastic recipes. He personally catered to us and ensured everything is in order. Good food helps in the overall experience. As I reached late, I can't comment on the view.

The location is very close to Kasar Devi. It was overall neat and clean. Staff was helpful too. They have parking too. They need to improve food quality and availability. Rooms and property is good but not well maintained. The cafe area is really nice.

I had a fantastic experience at "The Hosteller" in Kasar Devi. The location is a haven surrounded by lush greenery and offers breathtaking scenic views. The clean and budget-friendly dorms make for a comfortable stay. What truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by the staff, with a special mention for the property manager, Praveen Singh He not only assisted me in reaching the property but was also incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. The food quality was top-notch, and I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes.The chef Prakash was a very generous and positive person he came to me to ask for the review of the food and then he made sure that food is as per my requirement. I would highly recommend anyone coming here to taster food that he makes. It's a perfect place for travelers looking for a great value-for-money accommodation with a serene atmosphere and professional, caring staff. I would highly recommend "The Hosteller" to anyone visiting Kasar Devi.

Well the pros first: good location (close to Kasar Devi temple) which was where I was heading, the bunk beds were comfortable and I slept like a log. The cons: well I guess the backyard could have been maintained better...great scope of improvement, plumbing and water drainage needs to be checked, in the share accommodation there could be a poster stating the acceptable norms as some late check-ins were very noisy. Otherwise I guess it's fine

Food is available @ their own cafe is descent Great View of the Himalayan Range from the Top floor during sunrise Parking Available Cons - Food preferences should include non-veg too THE HOSTELLER SERIOUSLY NEEDS TO STOP USING YELLOW LIGHTS IN THE ROOMS. THEY ARE DEPRESSING. PL CHANGE TO WHITE LIGHTS THE PROPERTY IS IN THE AREA WHERE LEOPARDS ARE SEEN AT NIGHT SO MAKE SURE TO STAY INDOORS AFTER SUNSET

We had an amazing Stay at the Kasar Devi Hosteler, it was a great experience, with efficient quality of service delivery by the staff , and a special thanks for Pranav for cooperating with us in every manner. We requested for the bornfire and it was arranged and a lovely stay, with good quality food and excellent ambience and space availability. I'll highly recommend this place for the stay!.

Great accommodation for solo travellers, couples and friends if you want to explore the area. Praveed is an amazing host. He took great care of us by answering all our questions and giving us advice about where to go and what to do.

My first time at any hostel So I was concerned... but it was fine overall. Some things need to be checked immediately Smell from washrooms Food price was very high Water should be available in dorm too Female safety concern in case of there are single female in dorms!
