The Homstel is a place where you will find warmth and comfort, both in the home and the hosts. The views from the place will mesmerise your eyes, the food will satisfy your soul and the company will warm your heart - and most importantly, all of this, without burning a hole in your pocket!
It's an amazing place for anyone who is looking for peace, relaxation, and a homely vibe. And not just the vibe, the food they serve is home-cooked with a lot of variety. They also consider the health of their guests, and their food reflects that. Every window has a spectacular view of the serene snowy mountains, yet it's not a secluded place as Mall Road is just a 10-minute walk from here. I really enjoyed my stay; the hosts are amazing people who care about the environment and has many stories to share.
Initially, I planned for a two-day stay, but ended up staying for almost two months! The entire Homstel family (Aunty, Uncle, Shiksha, Mohit, Arun, and Golu) are very welcoming, and their incredible hospitality left me speechless. They were always helpful and made my stay truly unforgettable. Each day was filled with awesomeness and joy--I loved every moment spent here and had the chance to make some awesome friends and had many memorable moments. Whether we were playing late-night card games (and also my tantrum by through throwing card), enjoying cookouts, camping under the stars, or having a barbecue, this place is an absolute gem for solo travelers like me! By the way, finding this place was very easy with Google Maps. And the views are breathtaking--every day, you get a chance to see the sunrise over the majestic Rotang Mountains and the mesmerizing sunset over the dhauladhar ranges. And when it rain, the entire Manali seemed to come alive with its charm--pure perfection in every aspect! Aunty's warmth and care made me feel right at home. I'll undoubtedly miss Uncle's funny stories, Mohit's tea, and his famous chicken cooked on wood. Golu's classic "haan bhai," Shiskha's macaroni and Cadbury Cracker hoarding, along with Arun's knowledge about astrology, his fearful face, and hurriedness every time he comes upstairs while leaving Zorro and Pabalo alone and the short conversation we had during that time. And let's not forget the adorable four-legged residents of the Homstel--the dogs! Each one has a unique personality, and their playful and lovable nature made my stay even more delightful. All in all, my stay at the Homstel has been an experience beyond words. Aunty's warm welcome, the never-ending laughter, the delicious treats, late night conversation , Outing , and the incredible company of friends and furry pals--all of it made this place an absolute paradise. Miss you, Pabalo, Astro, Zimbo! Haan Thik Zoro ko bhi
Stayed there for a week, and it was a great and a unique experience. Made awesome friends, had great food, and did a lot of activities with the group. The hosts ( Shiksha, Mohit, Uncle and Aunty) are great, they'll make you feel at home. Overall a great experience.
I Stayed at Homstel from 11 To 18 Mar'23. Can't explain the vibes of this place in words. Neat and clean room and bathroom. Great view from every corner of the Homstel. Food is amazing. Great place for work from mountains and long stay. You will find hostel and hotel in Manali but not home like Homstel. Host is very kind and helpful. If you are planning to visit Manali, you must be at Homstel.
One of the best place to stay in Manali if you are looking for a quite and calm place for your vacation with a homely environment, you can get the best home made food, home like feel with amazing views. The best part of the stay is that the owner of this homestay is just amazing they never treat you like a guest they treat you like a family member and they are just a call away if you need any kind of help.100% recommend.
The Homstel in manali has been a source of great comfort for me personally. Being a fan of the mountains, nature and the cold weather I've been a frequent visitor to the town and I've stayed nowhere else but Homstel since I've discovered the property for three main reasons. 1. Their terrace balcony- if you're a fan of good views, their balcony at night is a sparkling gem with genuine soothing views of manali. It gives you the chance to peacefully enjoy what you visited for within the comfort of your pajamas accompanied by bonfire and everything else you like. Prime selling point for me. 2. The property is general- reaching the place can be a bit tricky the first time, so I recommend being in touch with the owner (Shiksha Goel) because she's as helpful as they come. That said, as hosts this family from New Delhi is perfect, complete with two beautiful dogs. They literally help you with anything they need. And are great hosts. The food is great and reasonably priced. Somehow even their menu is something that soothes my pahadi tastes, so especially the chai pakoda bread rolls always put me in a good mood. As per your preference, they also can offer some great suggestions as to things to see and do in the town, or food recommendations. 3. It's spacious with well segregated areas to suit whatever you wish to do. Work from home beside a good window seat, or hang out in their common room which has a good music system available for you to enjoy your own music. They even have a karaoke setup. I've stayed in their common rooms, as well as private room once. The place is quiet, the rooms are clean. And the food included in their package is yum yum yum. Overall, it says something when you wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in a town as big as manali with so many options. And my main reason is comfort, price and the opportunity as well as the overall flexibility to tailor my trips as I like. They do a great job and are genuinely great hosts.
So the guests are treated as a family , the property is pristine clean, the amount of time and energy they've spent on attention to details at each and every corner of the premises, the property is built with passion and love, such an amazing place to stay ! Away frm the manali crowd ! So overall the Hostel is 100/10 kudos to the team.
