The Grub Club - Chinese restaurant in Kolkata - Kolkata, India

Ok type restaurant, the Golpark outlet is better then Netaji Nagar outlet. The washroom is not good, this Netaji Nagar outlet is not ideal for family dining.

We had fish fry, egg noddles, egg rice and lamb in oyster sauce. The fish fry was served with French fries but I don't know what kind of fries that was. The rice tasted good but was too oily. The noodles had excessive oil and was burnt as it tasted a little bitter. only the lamb tasted good. The meat was soft and succulent. The interiors look shabby.

Went to this restaurant after years. They used to offer continental dishes here, but not anymore. However, we didn't mind as they had enough items on their Chinese menu. We ordered the following things at The Grub Club, Netaji Nagar. - Spiced chicken wings - Mixed hakka noodles - Tempura Chicken The wings were the best item of the evening. Even though the coating on the chicken wings were thick, the sauce they were tossed in was delicious. The hakka noodles were good. The portion of it was good enough for two people. It had enough chicken chunks, scrambled eggs and prawn pieces. The tempura chicken was also nice. It had a unique tangy taste. It had 8 pieces of chicken. Even though it was a dry item, it tasted good. Overall the experience at the Grub Club was good.

I have previously visited their Golpark branch but this is the 1st time, I have tried their Netaji Nagar branch. The "Honey chicken lollypop" is always the award winning preparation of Grub Club. And all the other foods were also pretty good. But the only problem is that, it lacks some space. The space inside is not much.

Except the lamb dish, all others were good to taste. The problem with lamb dish was we felt smell of fresh lamb from the cooked item It's very unfortunate to experience such things from such a renowned restaurant.

I have tried out hundreds of restaurants in my city, from classic to street. Grub Club has never failed to serve anything that I didn't like. The quality of food is incomparable with the price. Which costs hundreds more is much more affordable and in the right price with the right taste. It's one of my main dine out place and I shall recommend you hundred times more than any other place.

The environment is good. The restaurant is in Netaji nagar near tollygunge kolkata. The food is good, taste is awesome and quantity and quality is also good... The restaurant is of pocket friendly.. 500 rupees for two is enough in dinner including starters.

A splendid food joint at netajinagar area.....max 150 mtrs from statue crossing (college more) towards main road....We ordered egg chkn gravy noodles, salt & pepper fish....both were fantastic....above all cost was very much reasonable....we'll visit again and again.
