The Greek Cafe and Restaurant - Restaurant in Kuilapalayam, Bommayapalayam - Villupuram, India

Moti Mahal is the new name of the Greek Cafe and Restaurant. It's no longer an Italian or Continental Cafe, but an Indian restaurant serving good North Indian delicacies amidst road to Auroville. Just located nearby Tanto's Pizza, it's a small outdoor seated restaurant. The Chef is from UP, and cooks very good food. We had Chicken 65, Chicken Biryani, Dal Fry, Aloo Jeera and Steamed Rice. We also tasted the Cold Coffee. it was good. People who prefer North Indian food while in TN and Puducherry, this one is for you!! However service is minimal, don't expect much.

It was really good. We ordered mixed veg curry and pulka. It was good.. as only two people were there, there was a delay in serving.

Got veg fried rice in name of shahi veg biryani!!! Like many other places, just don't go by the name and assume it's a fancy place. It was just a city version of dhaba. Google maps led to a wrong destination. This was right next to Tanto's. It's better to route GPS to Tanto. Ordered Moroccan Tagine with couscous which was no where close to traditional. Chili chicken was also average tasting. I would personally suggest to just go with a different place. Or stick to Roti, sabji , dal or rice.

The host is very warming. They have both Italian and Indian varieties. The price is a bit high but the taste is good

Some of the best fusion cuisine in Auroville or Pondicherry. Perfectly situated on Auroville Main Road. It is a MUST try restaurant for visitors in town. Staff and owner are friendly and accommodating.

Good place to eat simple layout in Auroville and worth for money and taste. All indian Italian restaurant.

We visited this place as it was listed in some online forums as one of the must try restaurants in auroville. But the food and atmosphere was not at all good. First of all don't let the name deceive you , there is nothing greek about the place. The menu items were mostly Indian and they wer just below average. We tried fried rice and chilli gobi. The rice was a little mushy and didn't taste much like fried rice. The chilli chicken was too sour. We were the only ones in the restaurant during lunch time.

Amazing food, ended up coming here a bit late and the owner was kind enough to still make dinner for us. Not a big fan of pasta in general, but LOVED the pasta here and the butter chicken was just made to perfection with just the right amount of garlic and a smokey flavour that was so good and my food was so exquisite.
