The Good Galette - Cafe in Mangaluru - Dakshina Kannada, India

The Good Galette is a really good breakfast spot in Manglore. As the first opening food spot in the area, the place has proven that its worth the try. It offers the classic breakfasts from around the world and the usual cafe dishes with a wonderful atmosphere and great service.

Love those steak, mouth watering good!!and the waffles with that cream is just them best thing! Craving for more ughhh

An experience I wouldn't want to forget. One of the best places to go on a first date or some bonding time with your friends and family, you choose. The menu consists of English, American and Continental food serving brunch, lunch and dinner, you may have doubts about what to choose but don't hesitate to ask the server/ waiters cause they will help you out with whatever you need. If you like spicy dishes then just ask them to recommend a dish based on your preferences. The most friendly and helpful staff I've come across. The food i tried and liked English muffin sandwich Pepperoni pizza Potato wedges Cold coffee ( I asked them to reduce the sweetness as that's how I like it) Indiana pasta Steak in Mexican sauce Got chocolate Grilled chicken salad.

The Good Galette is the perfect place for a chilled out Sunday Brunch, a fine dining dinner and some amazing coffee. The All day Breakfast and Chicken Leg Steak in Chipotle Sauce are few of my favourites in Savoury, and for your Sweet tooth, the Hot chocolate and the cheesecake is the winner for me! I would visit again, and again!

The place is a cosy cafe with cute minimalist decor. They serve a variety of continental dishes varying from breakfasts to heavier meal options. Food: 1. Eggs benedict: I guess it's one of the best that I have in Mangalore so far. The eggs were poached and seasoned well. The eggs are served on two slices of bread along with a layer of chicken ham. 2. Fried eggs: Again the eggs were cooked quite well; they weren't over seasoned with salt and pepper. The eggs are served with slices of toast and boiled veggies. 3. TGG Pineapple Basil: A refreshing drink. We ordered for the sugar free version. It was really quite nice as an accompaniment for breakfast. 4. Americano: Well the place isn't one specialising in coffee. Having said that, what really got me was that the Americano was served with foam on top. And mind you, it wasn't milk foam; it was frothed coffee if I'm not wrong. The bitterness of the foam added a nice experience to the rest of the Americano. Ambience: The place is a nice cafe setup with other food joints surrounding it as well. The place with minimal decorations is quite well maintained and has a nice vibe to it. Value for money: The place is mostly priced at par with other places serving similar cuisine in Mangalore or perhaps a tad bit pricier. But the food was definitely worth it. Service & Staff: The staff were courteous with all our orders. A special mention to Mr. Murali for having made our breakfast experience delightful. He recommends trying out their desserts - cheesecake & ice cream cake. Looking forward to it on our next visit.

Disappointing Experience at The Good Galette I had high hopes for The Good Galette due to my positive past experiences, but my recent visit left me thoroughly disappointed. I ordered an American breakfast and was shocked to find that they had drowned the pancakes in baked bean sauce, completely ruining my morning meal. When I brought this issue to the attention of the owner/manager, their immediate response was baffling. They claimed to have worked in a 5-star restaurant where pancakes were served with baked beans. I'm not sure which 5-star restaurant they were referring to, but as a food critic, I can confidently say that pancakes are traditionally served with maple syrup, not topped with baked beans. Furthermore, the owner/manager suggested that this unusual presentation was for the sake of Instagram-worthy photos, which is unacceptable. In my opinion, a restaurant should prioritize the taste and satisfaction of its customers over social media aesthetics. What disappointed me even more was their unwillingness to accept feedback from customers. In any reputable establishment, customers should be treated as guests and their concerns should be addressed with respect. Unfortunately, at The Good Galette, it felt like customers were treated poorly and met with arguments rather than understanding. Overall, my recent experience at The Good Galette was a letdown. I hope they reconsider their approach to customer service and food presentation in order to regain the trust of their patrons.

The best cafe. I love going to their cafe everytime I'm in Mangalore. Food is awesome and even more better is uncle and aunty s warm welcome and caring service.

This was the first time I been there and it was on a Sunday morning brunch time. Pros - good ambience for someone who is visiting the first time. Cons - Had to wait 50 mins for the order to be ready. Hot chocolate is good but way too overpriced. Orio shake wasn't that great. AC was leaking. Less seating capacity. Food was alright but not sure if I would visit again for it. The canned beans wasn't good and the portion served was very little.
