The Godavari Gokarna - Resort hotel in Gokarna - Uttara Kannada, India

We family of 6people stayed in Godavari for 3 Nights with 2ooms during Diwali and it was a wonderful experience. Rooms are neat and clean. The restaurant is pure veg but it serves delicious food.! Hotel has good parking place. There's always rushing in the restaurant and you have to wait for the table, maybe because of Diwali time lot of visitors were there. Hotel is pure veg and no Bar. Breakfast is few items but it's very tasty!! The manager Mr Nelson is quite helpful person and made our stay comfortable. A good hotel to stay in Gokarna..!

Our check in process was pretty pleasant except the rooms. The room that had been allocated to us was not clean and there was a moldy smell, when requested the staff to spray some air freshener it was a no show. Secondly they didn't provide a hair dryer and enough towels. More over the blankets that are provided were stinking of sweat. Other than the rooms the service is good and food is delicious.

horrible experience .... room service placed back used towels instead of clean towel... when enquired they said they did it to teach lesson as towel was placed on floor!!...... we asked to call manager who never showed up.... restaurant is crowded and they arrange buffet at top floor which stinks and is hot. i often see same staff in restaurant who just cleaned my bathroom 2 min back, I doubt hygiene standards of this hotel. way more expensive than what they deserve!!

What a fantastic experience we had in Godavari. Booked it after reading reviews on Google. Initially I thought the hotel was a bit costly but right from the check-in my perception was changed. They have a beautiful lobby and the staff is very helpful. They go till the last mile to help guests settle in. In my 3 days stay I saw how helpful they are to guests. The swimming pool is well maintained, it's a bit small but sufficient with one small area for children. No other children's specific area. Their main USP is Food. As per my knowledge, their restaurant is the only one in Gokarna which is pure veg. The food is delicious. If you are planning to stay for 2-3 days they opt for the Breakfast package else you may have to wait in the restaurant lobby as it's always crowded. Overall from my side it's 5 for all things.

1) Something as basic as WiFi is also not working. To make things worse the mobile internet connection is also not good, at a so-called three star hotel that is charging 8k per night. 2) The restaurant below had a wait time of 40 minutes for just a table to be available and the ordered food took 1 hour to reach the table (no exaggeration here, and it's not just our table everyone else is facing the same situation). It's not the staff's mistake, seems like there aren't enough staff here and the ones present here seem to be overworked. 3) The rooms are decent but nowhere close to the price being quoted.

Very nice experience. Staff is nice and very helpful. Restaurant is very good. Room service excellence. Best in class facilities. Only suggestion is please keep change breakfast every day. Would like to visit again. Enjoyed Flag hosting with all the hotel staff. Memorable moments for our visit.

One star cz option of 0 isn't there. Worst Manager Worst Security personnel Zero attention to customer Guards at gate don't let u enter Happened with us multiple times maybe 5th or 6th time .Guards just come up with a new excuse that the restaurant is closed. Chef went early.. You have come at the wrong time.. The restaurant doesn't entertain outsiders.. Worst thing they don't tell exactly that we have some kind of customers load or something..they just tell restaurant is closed..u are out of timing.. entrance prohibited When we got fed up at nth time, tried to contact the manager..which guards refused initially...but when we forced it, he said as there is long waiting, we can't let u in..this happened when we clearly asked abt timing at 630, were told its 7:30 to 10:30..came at 8:30, but the arrogant staff didn't let us enter.. And top of everything when we managed to persuade the manager, the food quality..ohh...plz...worst worst worst... I think the time we spent on tasting the food from this restaurant turned out completely a waste... Guys never come to this restaurant never ever

The location and ambience of the hotel is excellent. The management and the staff are very hospitable and cooperative. All rooms are hygienically well maintained with neat clean bed spreads, clean linens and clean toilets with all modern fittings. The hotel restaurant is a pure veg food is excellent. It has a good parking place and well maintained swimming pool as well. Special Thanks to Nelson and Akshatha who made us very comfortable. Thanks to the team of Godavari.
