The Garden Cafe by Harrington Room - Cafe in Chennai - Chennai, India

I visited the Garden cafe for brunch on a weekday morning. It was fairly empty. The ambiance was okay. It wasn't very appealing though. Everything seemed to be a mess and the entire property could have been maintained better. It functions on a self service basis. When I asked for water, I was provided with a tall glass which wasn't even half full. Food on the other hand was tasty mostly. Quantity seemed less but I guess its okay with regards to the pricing. They have a few games and tons of books to choose from while you wait for your food. They are located on Harrington road. Do check em out if you're ever in the area.

Garden cafe is a place where I frequently visit. This is a perfect place to sit and relax or hangout with your friends for hours. This feels like sitting in your own backyard. The food options are limited especially if you're a vegetarian. Their rich mango shake and fries platter is a must try. They also have some board games, UNO cards and lots of books to read.

Food: Not worth the price and very disappointing. We had a platter which was basically fried frozen items, the oil is weird and we had to leave half of them without eating, especially samosa and potato nugget. Fries were the only one that was okay. Corn and Cheese was okay but it was also the frozen food. Cappuccino was nothing but literally 90 ml Bru coffee. Ambience: It is great for the nature and outdoor seating. Must be hot anytime but evenings as they have a tin shed covering which was bad in the evening itself. We had trouble with mosquitos and couldn't stay long. They have board games and a fun cozy outdoor seating which could be fun for hanging out with friends with minimal food.

Cafe is themed to attract readers, but apparently the books are not kept in good condition. They were covered in dust. The owner should adcertain that the book racks be cleaned a minimum of once a week. They also had a few board games laying around, which again look in dilapidated. Had attended a workshop there, so honestly tasted just their latte, which was like okayish. Of what I observed, they have a concept of self-serve !!

A perfect place to start your week with an amazing cold coffee and serene ambience! The ambience will make u feel good especially if u r a nature lover. The trees and the lil garden is something which u don't find in other places. Choose night over day to visit this place. The night makeover will make u fall in love with the place. Bear with the food and rates. The only downside of this cafe is the food itself. You basically are paying for the place more than the food. Otherwise its one cool place to hangout and work. AND YEAH TRY OUT THE TIRAMISU SHAKE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

An excellent Cafe in Harrington road. The ambience was lovely, the food was excellent..rightly spiced. The beverages too were made to the right amount of sweetness. The owner took all steps to ensure a 5 star service. Highly recommended for people in this area.

For hangout cafe is good, you can enjoy with your friends! Food is OK! Yes, it's cheap as compare to other cafes!
