The Funky Monkey Hostel - Backpacker Hostel in Anjuna - North Goa, India

Had a fantastic stay in this hostel close to Anjuna beach. The people working here are super nice, beds comfy, food delicious and location perfect! The ambiance in the hangout area is great and I always found good company there. Highly recommend

I was at the property only for a day so can't review the services or the facilities. The location is definitely good since its close to Anjuna. The front desk was helpful and they have a fleet of scooties inside the premises for rent at competitive prices, which is great. Now coming to the property, the room looks nothing like shown in the photo. The rooms are old, walls untidy, washroom was clean but tiles broken, rooms felt damp(maybe with rains around), but you can easily be fooled by how it looks on web. If you are short on money tale this place. But if you are a couple there are tons of options available in Goa, please avoid this property.

Excellent hostel, great staff and atmosphere. The staff were really good at giving advice and organising taxis for us (we are two girls from the uk so found this very useful) food was good and hygienic. Highly recommend. Only negative was that we had some issues with water/ showing but probably out of their control. Safe and enjoyable stay.

The individuals at this place are truly exceptional, and I want to give a special shout-out to Rohit. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking accommodations near the beach (Anjuna beach is just a 3-4 minute walk away). The culinary experience at the cafe exceeded my expectations; I didn't anticipate it to be this exceptional. I'm definitely planning to return.

Decent location, but the roads leading to the property are poor. Construction is currently underway, and the property does not look like the photos at all. There is no power backup, and power outages can be frequent and long, so expect to deal with the hot weather during these times. Overall, the service was subpar.

1. Property doesn't have proper parking area specially for cars. 2. Photos of hostel are deceiving. 3. Water dripping in private room washroom. With some weird smell too. 4. Lighting in hostel was little dim. 5. Easy to reach to staff for any help. 6. Food on the menu was bit expensive, can go to much better cafe nearby for experience within the same price range.

They have a very welcoming reception and they were very open to our concerns without complaining. My friend and I really appreciate their services with the exception of their bed allocation miscommunications and water problems. Although the food at the bar was expensive, the ambiance was giving what is was supposed to give. Overall, it is a great location I would definitely book again when in Goa given that it is close to the beach.

Even though the location of the hostel seems off putting, the hostel by itself is a magical place. It feels like you have entered Disneyland. We had a 2 night stay there. The rooms were very neat and looked cool and cute at the same time. The hostel has a mini restaurant/bar of its own and the vibe there at night is phenomenal. True to its price.
