The Fern Residency, Asansol - Hotel in Asansol - Paschim Bardhaman, India

As this is the only better option in the city I am giving a 3 star. If I compare this property with the rest of the Fern Residency across the country so I can easily make out that this is the worst Fern Residency. First of all hotel and mall parking is same so it would be very difficult for to reach at the hotel reception, 2nd they do not have king size bed in the hotel (Kind size bed is only available in suites room), they do not clean room windows, lift is very slow and they have only one lift for guest. Food is just OK and service is dead slow.

Considering that the place is Asansol, far removed from the city and deep inside the heartland of India. This hotel built inside a mall shines bright and illustrious. It may be noted that staff are untrained in service but then this is Asansol not Kolkata or Delhi. Probably one of the best places to stay if you do visit this small town

One of the best place to be in Asansol. One can have car parking, within the campus of one of the most hapenning Mall, easy transport availability. Room service is superb.

The hotel is very good, Nice rooms and bathrooms also, clean and tide. Costing of food is high, Otherwise it is a very good place to stay.

Actually I never visited inside the hotel.But I heard that its a bit costly...This place is outside the hotel where you all can see children below 5years can play and it's free of cost.

Had poor experience. The hotel needs renovation and staff who are attentive, efficient and professional. The room had a view of the steel plant which I surprisingly enjoyed. The window was dirty and scratches all of over - especially right in front of your face. The wall of the room was dirty and heavily stained. The ceiling tiles at the entry were loose and seem like falling apart. There was no hot water while trying to take shower in the evening - calling the staff did not resolve the issue. They charged for breakfast even though it was included with my reservation. It is very inexpensive so it's fine. The staff in dinning room are lousy and untrained. They are not providing proper service. Multiple things were not right. The front desk was ok but seems like they are new or untrained as well. This hotel could be a good place to stay if they train the staff and do some renovation.

If you are in Asansol and looking for a hygienic and very comfortable place to stay, then Fern Hotel is THE place to visit. Yes, it is a bit pricy, but the quality of living and food is worth the money.
