The Fern Residency, Amritsar - Hotel in Amritsar - Amritsar, India

Absolutely horrible experience. Booked 2 rooms for a couple of nights. The hotel is under renovation but we were never notified of the same. Hence, most of the amenities were unavailable. There was heavy hammering and construction work going on throughout the day. The washrooms were in bad shape and rooms were pretty dark and shabby. The 1-star is because it is very conveniently located, and the breakfast is decent. Will highly recommend finding other suitable stays in the area. Won't be returning whatsoever

There was no one at the parking to help us or guide us. Then after checking in a small room there television wasn't working their staff were checking it in our room and shifted to new room which has wasted a lot of time. After spending the money too, feeling like we have wasted it.

The entrance and lobby area was fine. The room was large and well settled but not clean. The wash basin was dirty. There was dust all over the washroom. The Toilet had stains all over. In the morning i found a lot of monsoon flies which shed their wings all over the washroom and wash basin. The roof of the toilet was open and insects were coming in.The staff were also not very friendly. It was as if they just had a job to do and complete it as soon as possible. Breakfast was okay nothing special or extra tasty. Best not to include in your package. For the same money you can have a great breakfast outside.

From all my Fern experiences this is the worst. Rooms not maintained properly, lots of wear & tear, same bed sheets used for both the days,no hot water in bathroom. Inspite of repeated request to look into the problem it was not solved. Management if you r reading this review you need a thorough check.

Could not get a better location. No matter where u go in complete amritsar u r bound to cross this hotel. Many eateries where present on walking distance. The area was good. The rooms were clean. But what was not good was their hot shower...it took more than 45 min for cold water shower to turn into hot shower. It was way to much time. The toiletries are not of very good quality. The room Was good. We didn't order dine in or room service since many good eateries are at walking distance. All over the place is a must stay specially summer. Since i am very particular abt washroom...i wont prefer my stay here in winters.

An awesome place to hangout for parties. The swimming pool area is nice, plenty of room for 15-20 people. Service is good. A tad slow, but good. Only nitpicks are: a. the shower area of the pool isn't upto par, which should be a priroty considering how contaminated the pool water is. There is only one shower room with an overhead shower (considering the area is supposed to accomodate 20+ people), and that shower doesn't work. You have to use the tap to wash yourself. b. While the pool is only 3-4 feet deep so kinda safe for kids, the sitting area has a small exit that isn't guarded or well railed and could be a hazard in the night time.

This place is very amazing i had a great experience in this hotel. Overall the hotel very best. I will again visit this place.

I have visited many fern hotel in india...but this amritsar hotel was very bad ....washroom door was not able to close properly...no spa ...food was very expensive...rooms are clean average...TV is not working properly...don't visit in this hotel in amritsar...rest all fern hotels are good in india
