What an amazing location, right on top of the football ground! In the morning, you can go to the ground for a run. This property is huge, regal, well maintained. The rooms are wow, as is their garden and common hall. Delicious food and expansive breakfast spread.
One of the best places to stay in Gangtok. Best heritage hotel in Gangtok. The place has a beautiful garden . Hotels are not far away from the main market area. The room side is good. Staff are helpful.
Pros: The hotel is beautifully decorated. Staff is very polite and friendly. Our room was upgraded by the staff themselves when we arrived. Location of the hotel is very good. View from the room is very good. Two of the major cons: 1. When we arrived Our bedsheet and pillow covers had few hair and seemed dirty. I had to ask the staff to change them. They did change all promptly! But i don't expect this kind of housekeeping after paying so much. 2. Food was not so great. Also i expected some Aunthentic sikkimese dishes which they didn't have on their set menu. Since they have buffet system the food was cold.

The property, along with the view it offers, and their adorable pet Hilton totally deserve a 4 star. But the seemingly 'heritage' property have been selling on that, and haven't managed to renovate the premises in a long time. The restaurant offers really tasty food, thought the breakfast menu was limited and repetitive. We enjoyed our dinner a lot! The service is top-notch and everyone is quite soft spoken and helpful. I wouldn't call the property luxurious only because of the rooms, I expected them to be relatively new/maintained. You can see a sense of old-ness in their furniture, bath tub and lamps. But in all, totally recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Gangtok. The male receptionist/manager during the day shift was extremely helpful and sweet.
Exquisite place! A living museum in its own. The food is finger licking. I mean we if stayed for a few more days we would need a gym membership. Perfectly located from the MG road. We strolled down to it though it was a little too uphill in the beginning but we got used to it after 2days. Totally loved our stay here and the staff is super courteous and mannered! Loved our stay here; will be coming back!
