The Divine Homestay, Murud Beach - Home Stay in MURUD JANJIRA, Murud - Raigad, India

Amazing place to stay with friends or family. Great view and location as you can see the beach right in front of your room door and the fact that they have many activities like table tennis, a basketball hoop and swings for kids is really nice.

We had a 1N stay at this property which is well located right by the beach, just open the gate and you are on the beach. Ample parking space at the entrance and such a big lovely estate with lot of greenery and sense of calmness (prominent buddha statue and champa flowers) The wooden cottage was cozy, well lit and provisioned with AC and other necessary appliances but lacked to smell good, we felt the need of room freshener to tolerate the smell and spend the night. Staff is very polite, soft spoken and on their toes to help you with your requests. Not to forget a cute little dog Bandu as well who was a good company during our stay. Food is always freshly prepared and tasty enough to satisfy your taste buds. Wherever you go you have to experience the local way of preparation and taste. You can order from their a-la-carte menu but we were told to place order by 8pm (though food can be prepared and served till 10 pm). Breakfast options were puri bhaji, upma, vegetable omelette with bread and it was awesome in taste, it was filling and so satisfying. Thank you Soham, Jitu and the rest of the staff. Overall a decent experience at the cost of 5.5k (1N), However we felt that the property's up keep was a bit off track due to monsoon and less number of guests. I would suggest avoid wooden cottages during heavy monsoon as they are built of wood material, hence the maintenence stuff and activity may cause some discomfort and disappointments. Would be worth giving a shot during winters/summers. Suggestions - 1. If the wooden cottages are treated with some chemical/medicines for maintenance purpose, then please provide some good quality scented candles to guests, it will keep the chemical odour at the bay and would be good gesture 2. Please let guests have the liberty to order food for some more time than 10 pm 3. Please improve wi-fi provision, we tried every option but were not able to connect 4. To the owner, please have a courtesy to give a call back if guest have tried calling you multiple times

We visited this place during last weekend and following was our experience - Pros: * Good location right opposite the beach and have private beach access * Food was decent and freshly prepared * Staff was decent and helpful * Complimentary Breakfast was very good. Nice and fresh especially Poori bhaji and Omlette was lip smacking Cons: * Not worth going during monsoons since all the cottages were covered to avoid rain water seepage and it obstructs the beach view * 5600/- for one cottage one night that too during off season with obstructed view seemed a bit pricey. On request, they did pull up the cover a bit. * Food can be ordered only till 8pm since we were told the cook goes home and needs the order by 8pm only. This was a major turn off. However, meals served were good * On reaching the property, during check-in we called the owner twice however neither did she answer the call nor bothered to give us a call back which seemed very careless * Rooms were nice and clean however it smelled of some chemical probably sprayed on the inside of wooden cottage(maybe due to monsoon). We had to keep the room open for quiet sometime and request room freshener to avoid the smell. All in all, maybe monsoon wasn't the best time to go here however they could have charged a bit nominal during this time for what they offer during this time is what I feel. Rest the place is beautiful and definitely would be great during winters.

Beautiful property, well maintained. Best part of location is it is just next to Murud beach, so you can enjoy the view of sea. Food is good. We ordered French fries for our 3 year old it was really horrible. They don't have the materials to cook that item. They should inform that before taking the order. Service was good. Overall we had a great time.

Beautiful beautiful property, well maintained and literally right on the beach! Good homely food. Perfect for a quiet weekend getaway! The cottages are clean, spacious and take care of all basic needs! They have cycles, indoor games, swings and trampoline and in good condition! Just one small recommendation, they should add more food options specially for the young adult crowd... Definitely a must recommend!

This place is by far one of the best stays for me..the location, the rooms are just amazing. cottages are beach facing and it gives u a mind-blowing view. The staff is well trained, well mannered and super service. the facilities are good like indoor games and stuff. you can directly access the beach from within the property. all in all the place as the name suggest is DIVINE. surely hoping to visit this place again.

There seem to be only a few homestays which have direct beach access in the 150-200 Km range north or south of Mumbai and Divine Homestay is one of them. (Even Alibaug has very few options plus there is mad crowd there). So this is a practical alternative to Alibaug for sure. The price is reasonable, although the booking policy can be a little flexible. The hosts are very kind, the caretaker and staff are polite, the cottages are squeaky clean and well maintained, there are ample games for children & adults and food is hygenic and tasty. In all, one is sure to have a happy experience and would like to come back. The property has a lot of trees and very peaceful. Above all the beach is secluded and clean so there is no chance it would be crowded.

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. Location is very peaceful, natural and very calm and sea view facing, which feels internally. Hotel staff is very good and supportive and helpful for everything. Rooms was so nice and fresh and pleasant there, it's very clean and they had taken care of each every thing in room. It's so ambiance and view sea facing is amazing.
