The Deer Meadows - Resort hotel in Gudalur, Mudumalai - The Nilgiris, India

Pls consider below issues we encountered before booking a stay here, 1) Bathroom smelly and looked dirty 2) brown water in bathroom taps 3) no power back up when electricity went during the stay 4) food options are very very limited and average taste for what is available 5) considering the above i found the place to be overpriced as we were charged extra for the pet too. The rooms are decent size with good furnishings however surroundings are still being worked on.

Wonder jungle experience.we went on a 2 nights trip to this place but looking at the serenity ended up staying for another night .friendly hosts silent and beautiful place in the midst of the forest . Deers always grazing right at the fence of the property . Food served was also ver nice .I strongly recommend this place for nature wildlife lovers or any who prefers to have very clam and pleasant stay with fresh air . Will definitely come back

I recently had a two-day stay at the Deer Meadows, and I was absolutely blown away by the experience. The property is located in the middle of a large meadow, and as the name suggests, there are deers all over the place. I was able to see deers right outside our cottages. The service at the Deer Meadows was excellent. The caretakers were very friendly and helpful, and they cooked delicious home-made meals on request. The property is also very quiet and peaceful, which is perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. I would highly recommend the Deer Meadows to anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay in the lap of nature. It is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and reconnect with nature.

Amazing place for wild life lovers. The resort is situated right next the mudumalai reserve, which is frequented by many animals. Saw lots of deers in front of the cottage itself. As well we was luck we saw a tusker around 6pm in the evening. The saty was fantastic food was excellent. Most importantly the hosts are friendly and wonderful people . Thumbs up from our side. Highly recommended for families with young children. If love nature you cant find a better place than this

We had a pleasant stay at the Deer Meadow in the midst of the jungle. Deers grazing around the property, and the wind ruffling through the grass, was a treat to the eyes. Waking up to the chirping of birds, was a beautiful feeling. The rooms were clean, the staff courteous and good home style food. A nice place to unwind and be with nature.

The rooms and location are okay. We extended our stay by another day, but unfortunately our trip ended in a bitter way because of the rude owners. They are sadistic with inflated egos, and are unhelping. They have way too many rules and refuse to give you the freedom to do what you want on your trip! They're also greedy and charged us exorbitantly for the food after literally getting the items from us. They treat the caretakers poorly and the animals are caged and not fed properly. Best to avoid this place. You can find better places with good hospitality around the area.

Stayed at this place with family. Lovely rooms with facilities. The location is adjacent to Mudumalai tiger reserve. Saw lots of deer around the property. We also saw elephant at around 10 am adjacent to the property. It was an amazing experience. Children loved the geese, pigeons and rabbits in the property. The road to the property needs some work but that's part of the experience. For food, we took it from the town.

Stayed here for 3 nights and I have been planning to visit this place for long . Honestlly it's a quite and nice place to relax and enjoy the serene unpolluted atmosphere. The minute you enter the gates of deer meadows it folds you into a state of serenity. The birds call , a herd of deers grazing neer the room , wise trees and the stillness of the mountain. I found my stay healing . The rooms are clean , food is home cooked style and very tasty . Our kids enjoyed playing with the ducks feeding the Bunny . Owner s are welcoming lovely people. Staff too did the service with smiles . A must visit place if you in that area . Will be coming back soon again
