Last year I went to Kolkata and I was searching for the hotel and I found claridale hotel . I love it's interior , rooms are clean and behaviour of staff are very good.

This is a neat and clean hotel. Overall it's good but it is going to get closed very soon for complete overhaul. This hotel location is bad as it is inside the alleys , off the main road. Which is difficult to find even on google maps. When we arrived to the hotel at night, there was no staff available to help us with our luggage. We had to carry it to our rooms. Bathrooms were okay as there was a drainage issue in that room which takes time for the water to get completely drained. Except restaurant available for breakfast there was no tea and coffee or lunch or dinner available for the guests in the restaurant. All the food items to be ordered in room only which were available at highly exaggerated prices. Their menu is overly priced given to the quality of food. We ordered prawns Biryani and it has literally no prawns but mostly eggs. Food portion was very small too given to the prices. There is no swimming pool or any other activity to do at the hotel. Reception informed that this hotel is closing down soon. In house guests can make tea and coffee in the room but outside guests can't be even served with water or tea at the lobby area even. The only best thing about this hotel is it's breakfast menu and courteous staff. The breakfast variety was huge and staff was very very prompt in serving food.

I have stayed in this hotel thrice in the past 2-3 months. Location of the hotel is good, very accessible and located near to key areas where people mostly might want to visit. As soon as you enter, the hotel has a huge lobby, however, visibly there is a huge shortage of staff. Nobody to serve welcome drinks, nobody standing at the entrance to guide you, no one to greet you. I stayed in a suite, however, they allocated a room with a completely blocked view. The view from the entire glass window was another wall of the neighbouring building. There's no lift operator. The carpets inside the room were dirty. Toiletries were not kept beforehand - I had to call housekeeping to request for the toiletries. They have a jacuzzi but do not provide bubble bath. The AC thermostat is a totally different being. It will go from chilling the hell out of the room to being completely non operational / Hot at times, and the staff have no clue as to why this happens (or do they?). Service is extremely slow, housekeeping, in room dining, everything is extra slow. Behaviour of the staff posted during day time is professional and welcoming. However, the staff posted at night / evening is horrendous. They are unprofessional and lack the basics of how to behave with clients working in a five star property. The bar, swimming pool, spa, gym everything is closed because this hotel is apparently going to close down for renovation / some other reason. Overall - 2/5 Emphasis - This property most definitely does not qualify as a five star hotel. Please plan and book your stays accordingly.

Beautiful hotel with all the amenities available. Although I have attended an event in their banquet hall but I have the access the hotel room. Rooms were neat and available all the amenities. Food is decent I would not say tasty but it was ok. Hospitality is impressive. Overall wonderful experience

Nice place to stay.. Located in the heart of city, many of the famous places r just within 10km. Polite behaviour of staffs. Excellent food. Specially if u love fish items please try once. It was a pleasant stay..
