The Childrens' Hospital - Children's hospital in Shillong - East Khasi Hills, India

Good doctors ,facilities, and staff . The hospital is clean.Good building infrastructure. Parking is available. There are many departments. My preferred pediatrician doctor is Dr. Shomi.

Hospital is good with good facilities. Cleanliness is good. But there are few observations where improvement is required. 1. Nursing staff- they are very noisy specially those on night shift. They make noise at the top of their voice. Also, those who are near the NICCO ward. 2. Doctors are good and qualified but they don't communicate with parents very well. Still the hospital is good. I got my new born treated there and she got well.

Treatment is great, but services need improvement. No facility is available where attendants can stay in the room. Especially where only one attendant is allowed. 1. Have to go to buy the medicines yourself, no credit facility. 2. No in-house canteen, have to buy food from outside. 3. Visiting hours are limited to 1 hour, three times a day. 4. Visitors are limited to 1 or 2. 5. After clearing the bill, have to go back after 10 minutes to collect the paperwork. 6. Guards need to be sensitized on manners. 7. Doctors' fees for IPD consultation are 2.5 times more than OPD rates.

Incident on 14 July 2023 around 10pm Nurse on emergency duty treated my four year old nephew and my family, the companions very badly with a poor and inhumane attitude. It is very unfortunate that heath' care' providers treat customers like this when situations in hospitals are all the more demanding for kindness and professionalism. This statement is being made public so that management is aware of such experiences and ensure no patient shall have to face the same otherwise, such matters need to be escalated further so that such agencies come under strict scrutiny for compromising on standard practices.

Worst experience as a visiting patient, You have one hour to go in and only two people can go in. Visitors have to wait outside till the visitor who's in goes out. And their is not much time to talk to the patient. And when it's time to close the guards just open the door doesn't matter if you're naked or whatever. And just ask you to go out, With no politeness. The incharge should really take this matter seriously or else those guards will get bashed up by visitors one day.

Emergency staffs were very unprofessional... Their lunch was more important than a patient. Keep in mind, I do understand them having their so called lunch but one staff could've attended patients. There were a lot of staffs but all of them were giggling and chit chatting while many patients were waiting outside... Why would we go through emergency department if our case was not serious....

The Doctors are too good and friendly... the worst experience that i faced there are the security guards and they are very rude especially towards the visitors. When the visiting hour is over, they wont let you stay even for a second, they will come and stand right there in front of you and you wont have any privacy until you leave the room.

For outpatient one of the worst place to go especially with a sick child suffering from fever. Long wait, heavy delay and the staffs are super rude. They give tickets in the morning and you end up waiting not less than 4 hours. With a sick child it's intolerable and the staff has no empathy or sympathy. There is no proper management of work or patients.
