The Chai Fusion - Cafe in Mumbai - Mumbai Suburban, India

I visited this cafe with my friends after work. The cafe is located just behind Mandapeshwar Metro Station in a tight spot. Once you enter inside, the ambience is pleasant and cosy. This place is small and ideal for couples or a very small group. They serve all types of fast food, and have both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. To begin with we ordered two Chai Thaali's from the menu thinking that, we can share this amongst us and order more food from the vast menu. The thali took around 25 minutes to be served at the table. It consisted of Potato Bhajiya, Mini Batata Wada, Toast Sandwich, Bun Maska and a bowl of Maggie. The thali had good combination of snacks and was scrumptious, except the maggie which was tasteless. We were not aware that the thali could be eaten by only two people and were disappointed, as everyone in the group wanted a bite and a sip of the chai. I am aware that many restaurants do not allow to share an UNLIMITED thali which is perfectly alright, but it is unreasonable and illogical to limit the number of people who can share a limited thali. Simply because, the fixed price of the thali is recovered by the restaurant and the customer can try a variety of dishes from the menu. A win-win situation for both. Hope the owners give a thought to this! The masala chai was okay, and the Bun Maska was soft n fresh. The Chicken Quesadilla was good and worth trying. The Cheesy Nachos with Salsa were crisp and overloaded with cheese. Overall, I was upset with the service as there weren't enough glasses served for water at the table. We had to remind the staff for paper napkins and accompaniments to be served with dishes. Despite the positive reviews and recommendations, I was disappointed by the overall experience. While it's possible that others may have a different experience, based on my own visit, I wouldn't personally recommend this restaurant to others.

A must visit place. Try the chai Thali. A very unique concept. The thali comes with bhajiya, batata vada, sandwich, bun Maska & Maggie along with a small kettle full of masala chai. The thali can be shared amongst 2 people. You can also try their steaks & pastas. The chicken steak comes with 2 grilled chicken breasts, a generous serving of mashed potatoes, gravy & veggies. Anything you order on the menu is lip smacking. They have indoor & outdoor sitting to enjoy the amazing food.

The Omlette was Good!! But the Mexican Chicken burger came in with a Veg Pattie? No salsa either :( Chai Thali was Good, there should be options(for Maggie noodles especially) Plus indoor area had so many flies

Pet friendly & affordable cafe Borivali just below Mandpeshwar IC Colony metro station. I tried, 1.Mezze platter Rs350 (Hummus, pita bread, falafel, salad, pickle, dessert) 2. Chai fusion delight chicken Rs360 MUST TRY 3. Bianco pizza Rs280 4. Passion fruit bubble tea Rs180 5. Arabic kunafa with icecream Rs350 They serve more than chai and offer outdoor & indoor seating.

The chai fusion is selling chai thali. It is enough for two people. Chai was awesome. Food is not so spicy. Chai was highly recommended. The atmosphere is quite good. 2 wheeler parking is available. The nearest station is borivali.

We had ordered the pancakes and the Spanish breakfast. The two orders took upwards of 40 minutes to cook & serve, despite the restaurant being mostly empty. The pancakes arrived first, and we're disappointing to even look at. Didn't taste anything like the original, were hard (unlike how pancakes are) and just dry. The Spanish breakfast was better, but the sausages were more steamed than fried, and baked beans were not great

Visited this cafe today for the first time and loved the exquisite variety of quick eats available. Each food item on their menu is carefully chosen by them. The thought and precision put in to design this scrumptious menu is commendable. Grateful and thankful to u all at the Chai Fusion.
