The Cactus Garden of Sailana - Ratlam District, Madhya Pradesh, India - Tourist attraction in Sailana - Ratlam, India

It's a famous cactus garden laid out towards the rear and flank of Sailana Palace, the residence of the erstwhile Rathor ruling family of Sailana State. Most of the cactii were planted more than 150 years ago. Their size, scale and variety is grand and has to be experienced in person to get a perspective. Though there are no guides, it's easily navigated due to it's compactness and labelling of cactii species. The management could do with more upkeep and maintenance orherwise the place would just fall apart or go to ruin. For cactii enthusiasts, it's a must visit. In addition, the Museum is co-located and has some nice and rare exhibits, but it has a separate entry ticket. No need to buy tickets in advance. Parking is free and easily available

Don't waste your time here, only 30 tree are there and take 50 rupees charge per ticket but there is nothing to see and even they don't maintain anything Totally waste of money and time Please don't charge anything, there is nothing to see

It's a small garden in the premises of a palace. Can be better maintained..

One of a kind garden .. you will get almost all kinds of cactus.. not only small but . Cactus at their different scale . I think there are only two or three. A garden of this kind...must visit if you want to see something different..

I was hyped up to see this place by my mom, who had visited it 6 years ago, when there were more plants and even guides who spoke about different kinds of cactus. However, my visit in the month of November, 2021 wasn't as exciting as mom has described. Though there's still many cactus and plants, the garden is now in a condition where it's hard to walk through, many plants were cut off, some even had fungus on them, and the small garden inside the big garden was closed off and completely destroyed. Also reaching there is expensive if you don't own a car or bike. Fortunately we got an auto who charged us only Rs. 600 for a to and from trip. Otherwise, booking a private car started from Rs. 1800 onwards. Though many spots and plants are still picture worthy We even got to see a Peacock there. So it was wonderful to have come across so many cactus species

I would like to recommend you to go for museum that requires ticket too but palace is excluded. About cactus garden you will find there only varities of cactus but don't expect a big garder with different flowers etc.

Nice place Won't take more than half an hour to perfectly cover this place. The entry ticket is Rs 50 plus an additional 20 Rs for the Museum if you wish to visit the same.
