THE BOWERS CHALET - Resort hotel in Ooty, Kadanad - The Nilgiris, India

Clean and hygenic place to stay and enjoy with your closed ones. The view is amazing in day and at night you can enjoy bonfire and do your own barbecue. The best part is the hospitality and service provided by the staff. They are humble and will go extra miles to cover your needs. Leaving happily!!!

Many things were wrong with this property apart from Location. I will list out a few and I'll describe our experience below. 1. Geezer wasn't working properly. 2. There were no Lights in our room!!!! 3. No wifi, No bath towels were provided, no mirrors inside room (one mirror is there in bathroom and the bathroom is very SMALL!!!) even drinking water came after we told them to bring. 4. Most deceptive thing about this property is two different rooms were separated by a door!!! Means the rooms are interconnected and you can hear the voices, talking, whispers and moans from next room. So to hell with privacy and noice cancellation. 5. Their deceptive description says many things like a balcony, garden view, mountain view etc, only mountain view is true. 6. Washroom is pretty small and not very clean or modern. And if you take a dump there, your room becomes smelly. You can hear the guests from next room is also watching sitting on toilet in their room. 7. Blankets and bedsheets were not washed for sure, they used perfume to make it fresh. 8. There was a TV, but no remotes were there. Even though if there's any remote since we don't have wifi there, it's pretty useless. To be honest I don't really care about the wifi or TV part. If everything else was good then we would have loved this stay.

The rooms and locations are awesome. Service is good, and the caretakers are extremely polite and humble. Loved the aura. Food can be better. Apart from that, it's awesome... Just go for it if you are looking for splendid location.

Beautiful property and excellent location. It is far from main city, and hence there was very less sound, light or air pollution. Just go the main entrance of the property in the night and you could easily see millions of stars and constellations. You can easily get beautiful views of sunset and sunrise, maybe even from your bedroom. Not many people/vehicles on the road in night which can be seen as both safe and unsafe, but we felt good taking a short stroll on the dark road under the stars. We stayed in the villa which had a private lawn area, and it was beautiful to just sit down and spend quality time with family and not worry about anything else. Breakfast was complementary, unlimited and very tasty. Service was prompt, and all staff (especially Ganesh) were very welcoming. There was enough parking space for 10+ cars or tempo travellers. Cons: 1. Bathrooms were not up to the standard. All faucets were leaking, toilet seat was not attached firmly to the ground. 2. Location is far from main city, and hence you may need to rely on the food offered by the hotel for lunch and dinner. 3. Lighting in the rooms should be improved. There was only 1 bulb in all the rooms and they were not sufficient for our taste. More bulbs should be available as a choice for guests to use as needed.

The cost what they charge is high for what they provide.. But the for the location view you can visit , morning breakfast is good , when we order dinner.. We had bad experience. One more on the street sideways they had current line if you are taking kids make sure is it safe...

Cottages located at a beautiful valley, surrounded by lush green hills. Cottages are descent for a family. Service is excellent. Mr. Balaji, our caretaker, was very attentive and prompt. Home cooked meals with decent quantity per dish. Ample parking space. Highlight would definitely be the location the cottages are situated in. Away from the chaos of the town, amid peace and quiet.

Excellent scenic views around the cottage.. Worth for the amount we paid... Food and room service is excellent.. Food is so delicious and worth the cost.. Fulfill all our needs..The Caretaker - hijaz helps us a lot.

No idea how this place got 4 stars. It's so far the worst hotel I stayed in. Wanted to leave the same day but as it's in the middle of nowhere and we checked in late in the evening, had to to stay a night in this garbage bin. Rooms have a terrible smell as if something has died in there. Wallpapers are torn, cutlery unwashed, flies everywhere. This place must be sealed for the unhygienic accommodation it provides to people by misleading them through manipulation of ratings and images online. The only thing good was the staff but they too should resign than being associated with such a scam.
