The Blue House - Bed & breakfast in Jodhpur - Jodhpur, India

I spent a wonderful time in the "Blue house Guesthouse". I had a lovely stay in this gorgeous place. The location is perfect: in the old city, close to all the main monuments of Jodhpur. My room was clean and nicely decorated. Moreover, I enjoyed the stunning view on the fort of Jodhpur. The family who owns the place is both professional and friendly. I had an amazing time thanks to their warm welcome. For sure, I will come back and I highly recommend this place.

We stayed for 2 days here. It was a good stay, although I have made some points to clarify things. Plus points: rooms were clean, bathroom was clean, awesome view, personal parking Bad points: bathrooms didn't lock properly, someone can see from outside through the mirror, only 1 switch board in one room Note: if you are trying to drive a car over here, you can but it will be very difficult as the roads are very narrow.

Its located inside the market area, and cars don't fit there. You might have to walk / take the rickshaw to reach the place. The hotel itself is nice. Room is spacious, well lit, air conditioned, and considerably clean. There's some spots of dust, but considering air quality around the area, its perfectly acceptable. In some rooms, you can directly see the fort through the windows, which is cool. The host(s) are also very nice. They run the bnb as a family, and are friendly towards guests.

Nice looking place. The staff is nice but a little slow especially for registering. Rooms are good but water pressure is sometime low, couldn't have a shower correctly some nights. The restaurant is average. The most funny part is a tortoise which keeps you company while eating <3

Nice and interesting design, looks very traditional style and located very central. However, this place literally made me sick. I am having a cold that started the evening after my stay there - there was just too much dust / dirt everywhere. You could feel it especially when lying in the bed - and usually that's the place where you stay most in a room. Sorry, but I really cannot recommend this place.

Rooms were very clean and the feel of the rooms was also good. The location is in mid of city thus, parking has to be done at least 1.5 Km. far although, parking is provided by the hotel. However, the food that was offered was tasteless and bland, which spoiled our dinner completely and the service needs a lot of improvement. Otherwise, it gives good glimpse of the Jodhpur city and the view of Mehrangarh fort from the roof. Not to forget the food and drinks were exceedingly over-priced as well. Overall, good for stay but, please eat outside.

Exquisite rooms painted with beautiful details. Beautiful view from the rooftop restaurant. However, the noise from the street came on quite intense and service in the restaurant could have been better. Registering for check in was complicated and time-consuming. Wifi only worked from outside the room.

Had a poor welcome, having reached the place to find out that we will have to wait 2 hrs for our room, despite informing beforehand our timings. To top that the host was kind of rude and matter of fact. To his credit however, a room was soon arranged and there were no further problems. Still, I believe that for a home stay type of place which lacks professional efficiency, they should go that extra mile to make up for it. The roof top restaurant serves decent food albeit only vegetarian. They don't serve alcohol. I sincerely hope they learn to treat customers better rather than take them for granted. We will surely return to Jodhpur but it would be to a more professional hotel.
