A perfect blend of classic vibes with modern gastronomy. Loved the way they have conserved a heritage property. The place has an amazing classic ambience. The food is not your regular cafe food. It's a gourmet style and perfect for fine dining. The multiple rooms with various seating options will certainly impress you. The decor is aptly done. The staff are all so hospitable. Absolutely loved my experience here and will be revisiting soon. Highly recommend! Edit: Visited again for the second time. The rooftop seating was lovely! Their Pizza is a must try. Will be revisiting soon.
In the evening time,it is a perfect place to hangout with family & friends for refreshing mood! The modernized heritage decor is very soothing & pleasant. Professional service with humble attitude. Appreciated to Mr.Atunu . The quality, quantity & taste of the food was up to the mark. I really appreciate the whole kitchen team.
We ordered coffee, garlic bread and some coated herd fish which was baked.. coffee was really good, garlic bread had no garlic ,only cheese .. and fish was really really tasteless.. 2 coffees, one cheese garlic bread and that weird fish item prices were near about 1650/-. It's a picture perfect cafe with some good stuffs. But you should improve your food..
The Bhawanipore House is a vintage south Kolkata mansion that has been tastefully transformed into a modern day cafe serving continental food and beverages. A visit to this place will give you the perfect blend of tradition and modernity. The food is good and the hospitality courteous. Highly recommended.
Heard a lot about this Cafe so thought of exploring it. But trust me I really had bad experience. Food was not upto the mark. Fresh Fries were taste though but they dont even serve a dip with it. We had to ask for it. And pizza was just horrible. We also tried Overpriced Fish Fry with not so decent fillet. Very dissatisfied. Basically we paid around Rs2000 for tasteless foods. They also charge Service Tax which is definitely not worth it neither should you pay. When my asked their staff to bring a fresh bill without Service Tax they started arguing that "Bill is already settled so we can't do so". Then after saying or 'Reminding' them about Terms & Conditions they asked me to write my contact Number and name for further procedures I mean Idk why they showed such unnecessary drama. Anyways later they got us fesh bill without Service tax . And lastly it's a genuine request to the Team to look into this matter. When we are visiting your Cafe and paying so much we atleast expect decent amount and quantity of food. As it is over crowded that doesn't mean you will compromise with the quality & Service. In long run we are not going to visit for Ambience for sure. Food & Vibes also matters alot.
Old world charm of bygone Calcutta served in a fresh new cover. . . . Lofty ceilings, marble tabletops, beautiful wall decors, old world furnitures and the splendidly preserved old architecture . Stop for coffee or tea, french fries, fritters . . And just in case you want to make it a meal, there is a well curated menu of pasta, pizzas, fusion continental. They also serve beverages and mocktails, and an assortent of desserts. . . The choco tart is a must try. You pay more for the ambience and the courteousness of the staff than just the food. . . But everything together makes it worth a visit and definitely few more to enjoy the view from balcony and the rooftop. I was just about forgetting that they have a wonderful breakfast menu for the weekend morning. . . Something that I myself am waiting to try once this Durga Puja rush is over.
The property is a 3 storied heritage house turned into a restaurant. Location: Situated in the lanes of hazra, this is a gem of a place. Uber/ ola access is ample, but if someone wants to access it via the public transport it can be easily done. One can get down at hazra more, and should take the right turn that is the road towards ballygunge phari, then take the first lane on the right and walk straight and tou are there within 7-8 mins. It is easily accessible if someone comes through bhawanipore end. Then they should take the lane opposite bhawanipore thana, and go straight to reach the destination. Food: The food is superb. It is lip smacking, good amount of proportions, and damn tasty. The options are plenty and people will have ample options to choose from. Their breakfast platter is also quite good. Service: The service deserves special mention. They are very observant and as the place offers ample amount of space to take pictures, they are concerned about the guests comfort. The outdoor sitting at the entrance area did not have any guest at the time we were visiting, and only 2 of us were there taking photos, sitting once or twice for posing. They brought down fans only for our comfort and set them up though there was no guest and we were not going to sit there permanently even. Each and every one was very well behaved and careful. All in all a very nice place, heaven for photobuffs like us to get ample of scenic shots and reels. Pocket pinch is not very high until unless you order a widespread lunch.
I had the pleasure of dining at TBH, a space that truly exudes love and history. Nestled at the crossroads of two streets, TBH's white and yellow facade stands out beautifully, a testament to its rich history in contrast to the neighboring buildings. The culinary journey at TBH was a delightful exploration of flavors and nostalgia. We started with the Truffle French Fries and Onion Fritters, both offering a crispy and satisfying beginning to our meal. The Chicken Frittella was a savory delight, while the TBH Cheesy Nachos added a cheesy, indulgent twist to our appetizers. Moving on to the main course, the Truffle Fungi Pizza and Pollo Lazio Pizza were a pizza lover's dream. The combination of truffle and mushrooms in the former and the savory goodness of Pollo Lazio in the latter were simply irresistible. The Bolognaise Spaghetti and Pollo Alfredo Pasta were equally delectable, offering a variety of flavors for pasta enthusiasts. For dessert, we savored an Apple Crumble Tart and the TBH Brownie. The Apple Crumble Tart had a perfect balance of sweetness and tartness, while the TBH Brownie was a chocolate lover's paradise. What makes TBH truly special is its commitment to preserving the heritage and charm of Old Calcutta. Beyond being a cafe, it's a place that honors the history of the neighborhood, and you can feel the love and dedication in every corner. In conclusion, dining at TBH is not just a culinary experience but also a journey through time. The food, ambiance, and dedication to heritage preservation make it a must-visit for anyone looking to savor both the flavors and history of Calcutta.
