The Bean Tree Cafe - Bakery and Cake Shop in Ottapalam - Palakkad, India

I loved Bean Tree's cakes so much while in Ottapalam that I packed it up and brought it to London! Can't wait to come back for more :) ordered a heavenly pistachio cake, mango cake, and vancho. They all survived the trip and were still delicious. Really nice to have solid pistachio, mango, and chocolate pieces inside the cake too! Bean Tree delivered us a cake yesterday and it was amazing! VERY good service and delicious customised cake. We're new to Kerala and ottapalam and were looking for good cake shops. After seeing so many positive reviews on this one, we decided to try and asked for a vanila strawberry cake, with a strawberry glaze and a little pattern on top. I placed the order over Bean Tree's WhatsApp account and asked for it only one day in advance. They've made it EXACTLY as we imagined and requested, and delivered it exactly on time the next day. The cake looked so good I didn't want to cut into it--and inside is the most delicious, well baked, moist, fluffy cake sponge I've had. The strawberry crush layer, cream, and sugar were all at perfect levels. Hard to find such good a place in OTP. Bean Tree will now be our place for all orders. Also, the gentleman who delivered the cake was very kind, professional, and cheerful. Thanks so much for this :) will order again

Excellent unique western food that's not available in most restaurants in palakkad. It's delicious and made in a homely manner. Their cakes are excellent, especially tres leches cake and cheese cake. Both of which are not available anywhere else nearby. I tried their cheese paneer fry which is also awesome. The interior ambience is photogenic, this is basically like a hidden treasure of a restaurant in Ottapalam!

This place is always a treat to stop by, and they always have the most delicious cakes. They are fresh to order, so you receive top-of-the-line fresh cakes no matter what time you go. They have an extensive menu to satisfy any craving. If you are ever in the area, you must stop by! They are worth every penny.

I ordered a Ferrero cake for my wife's birthday. It was an amazing cake and we can say it had a decent flavour of Ferrero chocolate inside. Though a little bit on the expensive side (considering the price of Ferrero chocolate itself), the cake was totally worth it They made sure to deliver the cake home on time. We will definitely recommend The Bean Tree to everyone Keep up the good work, Team.

One of the most delicious cakes we have ever had. We had ordered a designer cake for our anniversary and it was fantastic both look wise and taste wise. Totally worth it! Great ambience and customer service too.

One of the worst professional service provided. We asked then for a desinger birthday cake but they made a normal cake and printed photo which was then sticked on the cake. At the time of ordering cake design was discussed and promised to be done with fondant to even minute detail, they didn't inform us that they are simply going to print and stick a picture. Also cake was delivered with delay of 2 hours, due to which ceremony was delayed and with upset guest. I strongly won't recommend Bean Tree.

Thanks to Bean Tree Cafe, Ottapalam, I could surprise my dad on his birthday with a lovely and delicious Mango cake! I don't live in Kerala but they were prompt in responding to my messages on Whatsapp and delivered it right on time! The decoration and the instructions were followed perfectly as well. SO glad I contacted them! :)
