The Bamboo Forest - Wildlife and safari park in Chimur, Masal Kh. - Chandrapur, India

Absolutely stunning property. The lobby and library is filled with beautiful antiques collected from all over India. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The only drawback is the food. Not many options. However, whatever they have is pretty good. The location is pretty nice too. They have a lake as well in the hotel premises which gets pretty stunning during evenings. The staff is really nice and humble. Suprit, Venkatesh and Sahil were really helpful. Apart from them, everyone is really nice.

One of the finest Jungle property ever for me. Think of a boutique hotel from a metro setting and place that in the natural setting. Location and layout : a convenient 2 hour drive from Nagpur and on the highway. The moment you enter the property the tasteful setting or the property hits you. The statues, the bamboo plants, the property layout is done very tastefully. Every thing from landscaping to seating has been done with a specific purpose in mind. This is about 10 mins away from the kolara gate, which is another good thing. Facilities : pretty much everything is there. If you are looking for a tub and jacuzzi then you will be disappointed, but they have large bath and lovely showers. The rooms are big , spacious with balcony (depends on which room you choose). We were upgraded to a bungalow with a machan uptop and a common balcony. The rooms are very nicely furnished, with comfy beds and pillows , two baths and ample storage space. They have a fully functional swimming pool and a gym. Don't forget to use the Spa, which does a good job relaxing your body I'd you are tense from the regular routine and/ or jungle safari. You would not miss the tastefully done pictures in the reception or in the library , or in your rooms for that matter. Every single item, big or small has been picked by the owners of the place and the attention to details shows. Food: one of the last import aspect for me when I travel. These guys are way out of the chart .....we had 6 meals , and they didn't disappoint even once. They customised the 3 course menu for our group (of 10 pax) , every meal. They mixed up local cuisine with international cuisine , without spoiling taste of either. They ensure the balance of spice, oil check and my tastebuds will be eternally grateful...the Chef has been trained inhouse by the owners and the Onsite leads are well equipped to handle all the situation. Comfort : no complaints at all. A small suggestion, have a EV buggy for the room pick up and drop, especially for the hot seasons, for families with kids. Safari & Jungle life : Akshay is one of the most knowledge able person we have met who is a conservationist himself and a very good photographer...so please pick his brains on where you want to go and about the flora and fauna. We were accompanied by Sandesh, the naturalist from the property who is very good at spotting big cats and other wildlife . Mohsin , our safari driver was our silent hero....took us to multiple books and corners to ensure we spotted the cats and showed us some other birds and owlets , that we would have missed otherwise. One of the First's these guys have a EV jeep / vehicle for safari..though I didn't use that, but people who did, were quite impressed. Verdict : one of the best places I have been. Very tastefully done overall, very friendly cordial staff, awesome food and very knowledgeable people who know pretty much every thing about the local jungle or most of central India. Thanks so much for making our stay amazing and we look forward to visit again

Excellant resort. We had a lot of fun. The location is cool. The food is great. The service is awesome and the rooms are excellent. The whole staff is very friendly. The even took us to a night ride which allowed us to spot few animals in night, this was a very different experience. They arranged tatkal safari for us for evening which is hard specially on weekends. I recommend this place for being close to the nature.

Warm hospitality, nice rooms. Particular mention needs to be made of the deck overlooking a water body in the premises. Public areas like the library rooms are not designed to accommodate groups - which is a minus.

Excellent stay and amazing hospitality. Chef was very personal and cooked incredible meals. Massage was amazing and of course hats off to the entire management team for hosting us amazingly. We were a group of 25+ people and they knew everyone's likes and dislikes perfectly well. Amazing enthusiasm and outstanding positive energy. Only place to stay in Tadoba.

Every detailing in resort management was very nice...Good Staff And services....must visit
