The Bait & Hook: Seaside Restaurant - Restaurant in Varkala, Edava - Thiruvananthapuram, India

Bait and hook has an absolutely great ambiance. I loved everything about the restaurant and resort except the food, it's not that I don't like it but it's just not up to the standard you would expect. I had the lemon grilled chicken which was a solid 8, the fish fingers I had was just average so I'll give it a 5(it was crispy tho), the hot and sour soup deserves praise so a 9/10 for the soup. Let me tell you this, I forgot all about the food and was immersed in the beauty of that place and I loved every bit of it. I even thought of buying the plac, LOL. Seriously, it's worth it. Money well spent. I would recommend people to go and walk around the place for a better experience. Bait and Hook must take the initiative or someone should to clean up that area because the other side of the cliff was dirty and stinky. 8/10 for Bait and Hook(for the view and ambiance)

Very Tasty food, we had great experience, we stayed nearby and cane here 2 tomes in just 2 days for the food, very lovely fresh taste, awesome chef, We came as a family, perfect spot for couples and family, scenic peaceful not much crowded place

While I was in Varkala I went to this restaurant several times. Sometime for lunch and some for dinner. Little bit away from main Varkala beach restaurants. It provides isolated space away from hustle and bustle of north cliff. You can enjoy good food and drinks while enjoying its on view and live music (probably in evening ). Though I don't have the photos but foods are good. Five star to the staffs as well.

We chose to have karimeen fry and grilled tiger prawns from the fresh seafood catch. We also had a super tasty dal fry and veg korma as our vegetarian options. The chapati and Malabar porotta was soft and delicious as well. And afterwards you could walk around and explore the area at your leisure. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for some quiet natural ambience and fresh seafood.

The location has an amazing atmosphere and a great view of the sea. In terms of dishes, you can get. A variety of fresh sea food, drinks, and a large selection of north and south cuisine. Bidan, the head chef, was very approachable and made certain that all of our taste buds were satisfied. Don't miss out on Bidan's exclusive sunrise drink.

This restaurant with beach view is so amazing. Food is so delicious and mouth - watering. Had my breakfast, lunch, and dinner for two days here and is very happy with the service. Everything ordered was up to the mark and was in good quantity. Highly recommend a visit to this restaurant. If in Varkala, definitely a place to visit.

One of the most expensive restaurant in verakala ,for small menus even it takes them a hour to prepared. Chicken biryani was a ghee pulav and the service was just a waste!! The only good things was the sea view from the restaurant
