The Avenue Regent - Hotel in Kochi, Ernakulam - Ernakulam, India

No sound system is there in the hotel. For people planning to do a music program here, pls take your own sound system. There is no management even to help manage the sounds. Very bad audio system setup and management. It was surprising to know that there is not even a feedback speaker for the singers which is the minimum expectation.

Perfect location. Great spacious rooms with excellent view. The windows in the room were huge with lots of natural light. Everything was neat and clean. Excellent room service and food. Had French Toast for breakfast as room service and it was really good. Their breakfast buffet is just amazing. Everything was carefully made and there's so much variety. Would strongly recommend staying here. Excellent value for money.

Clean room. Very good bed and prompt house keeping. It would have been good to make everything available immediately like shower cap, bathroom slippers etc rather than ask for it, but once I did ask, it was promptly given. Conditioner is not given in the bathroom surprisingly. So buy or bring your own. Restaurant breakfast is great- the coffee especially and the traditional breakfast. We stayed three nights and on the fourth day I asked one of the restaurant managers if I could pack 4 small muffins in my bag for a snack on my journey with my mom out of Kochi. Surprisingly he said no and said I should pay for it. If I were him, I would have immediately obliged privately knowing that a customer need not have necessarily asked, giving that extra touch of personal service.

Low score for the service is mainly due to the concierge staying on his station even when it was pouring down when I reached. He could have told the cab driver to drive around to the rear entrance where the car porch was sheltered. He made it a point to share with me that they have a sheltered entrance at the rear of the hotel! Rest was good. Nice spacious room, good breakfast, friendly restaurant staff. The bar Mezzo is much hyped. On the Friday afternoon, there were more staff than customers!

Luxury hotel with excellent food. But, extremely limited parking, especially on a day where any functions such as marriage etc taking place here. (Valet told me to "go complain to the manager" when i explained that i had a room booked but no parking after a 16 hours drive to the city! XD ) The reception is not soundproof and the loud music in the dinner-pit opposite the reception does not allow for a normal conversation with the check in staff. Weird. Overall, very good rooms and restrooms. Staff is friendly and efficient. The food is really excellent! But if you are local in town, better to go by auto. No parking.

I must say the hospitality and service were exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make our event comfortable and convenient. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and a willingness to assist. The conference facilities were well-maintained, and the staff ensured that everything ran smoothly. They were always ready to address any of our needs, making sure we had a successful event. It is surely a fine establishment in the city of cochin and has been for decades. The location is a huge huge plus with valet car parking at the back. Our family has been treated well, and the staff always comes to greet us. The food here is always on point, be it in their restaurants or for functions in the halls.

Was at avenue 2 weeks ago for my newphews communion party. Great food and very friendly staff. Pork BBQ was wonderful. Chef Joshua was very hospitable and a fine gentleman.
