They don't know the fish fry...no authentic fish fry here...they literally give you the *vaja maach* with some pickles.. authentic kolkata style fish fry is hard to find here..they don't even know what is the difference between vaaja Mach and fish fry...very disappointed with the experience
Disgusting taste of fish biriyani
Worst Experience. I checked good reviews of this hotel and decided to went there. The prices are no doubt cheap. I ordered veg thali, vetki jhal and ilish bhapa. The alu vaja was not at all fresh and not at all crispy. Now cones the saddest part-the fish items. Vetki fish was not fresh and the fish is hard and clearly indicated that it was refrigerated for many days. The worst of all is the ilish fish. I was in great excitement to eat the ilish mach. To my nightmare, the ilish mach is not even the ilish mach. Seems like ilish mach, but the taste is very very bad. The fish us refrigerated for many days and they are cheating people in name of ilish mach. I dont know what the fish name is. But clearly it was not hilsa. Tastes the worst with not a inch closer to hilsa fish. I had great expectations but turned out to be nightmare. Please dont cheat customers using your cheap rates. Take appropriate prices but provide correct food items. Please don't visit this place. Now i understand why there is no single customers in the hotel while i was eating!!
One of the good restaurants located in the heart of Siliguri, if the management of the State Fisheries Development Corporation Limited runs it properly. Staffs are cooperative. But, fishes are are not at all fresh as per expectation.
