Thangassery Breakwater Tourism - Tourist attraction in Kollam - Kollam, India

On heck of a wall. It might seem like a cake walk. But the tread feels like 5hours almost. We forgot to get water to drink & kinda got dehydrated & tired. There is a store within the premises where you could actually buy it. The entry fare to the breakwater is Rs10/head & for car parking fare Rs20. Not sure whether two wheeler parking fare is Rs20. It is better to visit during early morning's or evening. We dropped by at mid day, there heatwaves weren't that intense due to the breeze that constantly kept caressing. Probably in a few months, the park set up would be open. But the view at the end of the lofty walk is surreal. We used to visit & fish here when we were kids. Even now people do fishing here. Do drop buy next time when in kollam.

Good for a visit. Not exactly a tourism crowd. Kids are there for a place to be jolly. Parking fees Rs20 for cars. Not much facilities just a bakery parlour.

If they are adding a small park for kids it will give entertainment for them also. Ambience is good, Cons:-Car parking is higher than Entry fee and its limited for one hour.. * Keep away from street dogs....

I had a wonderful time with my friends at the park where we watched the sunset over the sea. The park was beautifully designed and maintained, and the sea was sparkling in the evening light. It was such a relaxing and enjoyable experience. However, I was disappointed to see how some tourists were littering and damaging the environment. They were throwing away plastic bottles, wrappers, and other trash on the ground, and some were even breaking the branches of the trees. I think this is very disrespectful and irresponsible. I wish the management would impose a fine on those who do not follow the rules and keep the park clean and green. I hope that everyone who visits this place can appreciate its beauty and preserve it for future generations. #trave

One of the most wonderful park in kollam. Don't miss the walk through the breakwater almost an hour and a half walk to and fro. The port and harbour view is really amazing from the breakwater. The mesmerizing sea view from the breakwater is almost like walking through the middle of arabian ocean enjoying the strong sea breeze. Evening time is the best, but you have to start early to walk upto the tip of breakwater and back before dawn. There are no street lights on breakwater. The park has got a very good parking space, a children's play area and one water shop. A elevated space to see and enjoy the sea, Port , and breakwater before entering the breakwater area. The area charges userfee per person and an additional parking fee for vehicles. You can also see the light house from the parking space. Its a huge area to explore. Your kids will love the area. Do carry snacks with you as you don't have one there. Its all in the beginning stage. But a lovely place to hang out with your family and friends.

Perfect spot for beach lovers. It's a nice place as compared to other places in kollam. Evening is the best time to visit. Ticket charged is 10 rupees per person. Recommended

For Beach lovers it is a very interesting one, because you can walk in the middle of the sea through the Walk street. Per head Adult Rs 10 and Child more than 5 years Rs 5 . Parking for TW rs 10. No time limit for exit. Special children related playground things are also available.

There's nothing other than an office and a parking lot. Need lot of improvements. Yes, it is nice place to spend time with your family and friends. There's no shops so keep some food and water with you. The main attraction here's Pulimutt (sea bridge). Entry is not permitted to this 2km (both ways 4km) length Pulimutt so don't enter into it
