Overall we had a very good stay. Rooms were clean and breakfast was awesome. Godson was very friendly and professional. He arranged a 2 hour boat ride in kumbalangi backwaters which was a great experience.
Its was a short visit with my wife. But memorable. Rooms are clean & beautiful. Services was speechless Food : very tastey & delicious. We want to go again. Thank you very much for ur love & care.
we reached at 9:30 pm at their Homestay ,after 9:45 many restaurant closed but when we ask they prepared food for us and feed us like family,what a testy and fresh meal. next day auntie serves even more healthy and testy breakfast .they care too much about their guest. I felt like I'm not guest but also their family member. and for their room it was neat clean , AC and hot water running all time.
Indeed staying at Thanal was a great experience. We were stuck at Kumbalangi nights restaurant which was 3km away from the stay. The house owner sent his son with the car to pick us up. And from then we were able to find the art of hospitality from them. This family is a great host, their service, food and all.. It marks the top notch. No one would hesitate to give a five star review for Thanal homestay. I will refer as many to Thanal if you are visiting Kumbalangi. Just go for it. Thanal is simply awesome.
The host (Mr. Godson I think and his family) is the best part about this place they really care about the customers by being really kind and happy to help you with anything attitude. The food was really tasty and made in their own kitchen. Theey also provide tea and snacks, The rooms are super clean and spacious (Air contioned) the restroom was clean and equipped with hot water shower. The only con for me is the parking space, It's small since it's a home stay I really can't complain much as Mr.Godson is more than happy to help you with opening doors even on late night for you, We payed 1500 for a one day (6AM to till next day noon). Over-all really great experience will definitely stay again.

The home stay was fantastic and never felt a moment of unease. Such was the service and hospitality of Mr.Godson. The food was on a different level. I could visit this place again just for the home made food. Breakfast - Idiyappam with veg kurma and Dinner - meals with karimeen The owner also has an activa which can be rented at a nominal price. Overall if you are looking for a simple, neat and budget friendly stay in Kumbalangi, this is the place to be. Thank you Mr. Godson
We had a great experience staying in Thanal. One of the best homestays in Kochi, literally felt like our home. Their service and food was just WOW. The room was very clean, spacious and beautifully furnished. It is situated in a quite and calm area and that was very refreshing for us. The host and their family members were very polite and friendly. We felt like our family. Overall best homestay in Kochi.
