Thambbi is known for his good quality food. I tried it the first time. I had Ragi Sada Dosa. They made it in ghee. The packaging was perfect. I received Sambhar, chutney, and dosa in separate packs. everything was in place. no spill. The taste was good. Sambhar was not hot but fresh. Quantity was enough for one.
Good food at afforable prices. A decent family restaurant with A/C. Food was good both in terms of quality and quantity. The place is a little short staffed which makes the service slow. They charge 30/- for extra cheese and do justice.
Visited thambbi, This restaurant is a box of delicious South Indian dishes. This is a perfect place for lunch and breakfast with our family and friends. Hospitality was very good and staff was friendly. There are varieties of dosa's available. Which are very tasty. I liked the filter coffee it was amazing. I ordered, masala dosa which was crispy and nice in taste. Mini idli, medu wada and sabudana wada. I also ordered choley puri served with pickle and 5 puris. I really enjoyed the food. Overall, an amazing experience.
I love food from Thambi, but this outlet in particular is poor in terms of - 1. Service 2. Cleanliness 3. Staff attitude We ordered for a south indian thali at lunch hour, they took almost 30 mins to get the order. Almost every table was waiting for their orders for 20mins or so including ones who called for coffee. There was some fight going on between the kitchen and serving staff, extremely loud and noisy. The staff who takes the order is not available most of the times in the restaurant floor for customers. The thali served to us, had one item less, upon asking the staff he rudely informed us that the menu was changed starting today. Food served was good, however, will not visit this outlet again.
It's a casual dining located at Chandivali, Andheri East. It specializes in South Indian cuisine. The food served here never fails to impress its diners. The cost for two is 350 which is economical. There are very few good restaurants near Boomerang and Oberoi Garden. Thambi is one of a good option. Recommended.
Patthtic service instead of 4 waiters, only 1 waiter on peak time on Sunday morning, resturant is priortising Ziggy and Zomato orders instead customers sitting in restaurant.
