Very bad conditions I request government please maintain and developed the fort for tourist
It is a very peaceful and delightful place. I am just enjoying the fresh air and sounds of water besides the river. The filling is at next level. We have one temple also at above the fort and we have barricades all around the fort.
Thalner killa located in shirpur taluka , district Dhule. Thalner is indian Town ,the first capital of the Feruqi King, stand on the tapi river. The name Thalner probably derived from Thaleshwar temple. Today only a small portion of the walls that were on the river side is standing, the others having collapsed for the most part. There are no many more monuments to see here. U can explore this fort with in half and hr, end of the village there are stairs to go on the fort. There is one temple on this fort (shaptarshungi temple). You can enjoy the view from here at evening. Hill, river, greenery, and sunset its best combination.

Thalner is a beautiful village. This village was a market town of Shivaji Maharaj's era. There is a huge Tapi river coming here that should not be attacked by Shivaji Maharaj Send feedback History Saved Community My experience
From Sultan Firozshah Tughlaq of Delhi, Malik Khan got the status of the neighboring areas of Thalner and Karvand. He took control of Thalner and established the rule of the Faruq family and constructed a triangular-shaped fort at Thalner in 1370..
Thalner fort - It is here Malik (Ahmad Khan) Raja (ruled 1382 - 1399) whose ancestors were nobles in the courts of Delhi Sultanate started the dynasty in 1382 after he conquered the fort and region around. The dynasty is known as the Khandesh Sultanate (because of the region's name) or Farooqui dynasty (because of the fact Malik Raja claimed his descent from the second Caliph Umar-al-Faruq) It was the time of turmoil throughout India after Delhi Sultanate weakening and different regions claiming their independence while Farooqui dynasty was 4th among them. This fort was their forte and with them till the end of the dynasty in 1601 by Mughal ruler Akbar. Thalner fort is the land fort at only 100 mt from sea level but have the importance of having 1st capital of Farooqui dynasty and is constructed by Malik Raja. There is nothing but a very small temple of Saptashrungi Devi left on the fort with bushes and small trees grown on most of the land on fort. Despite being having history, the fort is ignored and wild bushes are growing inside it. However the view of Tapi river from the back of the fort is fascinating as it forms house shoe bend. Other places to visit in Thalnar are Jamadar Wada and Hajire - Kabr of the Khandesh Sultanate ruler.
