Thaadi Biriyani - Biryani restaurant in Pollachi - Coimbatore, India

The food and atmosphere is not that much good. Don't get in with hipe. For the *owner's reply* Sir, I had chicken biryani with Chukka. The Chukka is filled with masala and not tasty. And about the atmosphere: even it in market area , the dine need to be peace but it's filled with sour or sulfur-like smell because of chicken chop area. So one more thing sir, The customer who arriving to the hotel will expect the taste and hospitality too. So make improve it. If you need any other explanation. I'm ready to detail it sir.

Biriyani hotel which has a different taste ambiance tradition. Thaadi biriyani hotel is situated opposite to pollachi gandhi market and cattle market. It is a small shop with a antique ambiance. They offer many variety of non veg item. It is open only for two days which is from Wednesday night to friday night. It has a unique customer base. Coconut oil biriyani was their special.

Had visited specifically from Coimbatore to taste this biryani. Firstly quantity was very less and I felt that the taste is okay. Had taken goat brain along with biryani. Overall I would say that it is very costly for quantity served. Mutton was cooked properly. Location is right opposite to vegetable market and it is easy to miss this place as this looks very ordinary from the outside. And I did not expect a hotel like place where there is market and butchering shops around this place. It's walkable distance from pollachi railway station.

Compare to ambience, the price is high. But the taste is too good. If order Currys like sukka, eeral, sevroti2, thalakari you may disappoint with the quantity for rupees 90. The chutney is a special side dish and is too spicy. Spicy lovers will enjoy it. Bike parking is OK. But there is no car parking. You have to park on the road side. Ambience should be improved a lot. Due to poor ambience, people order and take away. In raita, the curd is very less. Elumbu kolambu is another special here. It looks like sambar. Half plate briyani is not enough for a person. So better order one MT briyani(without piece) if you are hungry. No cool drinks/beeda available in the shops. It is located in the fish market area of pollachi. From bus stand, it's about 2 kms. You have to get down at marked bus stop. For quality you have to compromise quantity for the amount you pay.

Briyani is good they didn't add more masala in it. Simple and good briyani But I am very disappointed with kari urandai worst mutton ball I had in this restaurant Very bad taste no masala in it I think they didn't Even add mutton it cost rs 30 but it is totally waste...... After I complete food in this hotel I felt it is huge money to give fr ths taste

Eventhough quality is somewhat good, quantity is very very less. Ambience not good, it is surrounded by drainage, fish and dry fish shops, creates smell. Needs Renovation

Excellent taste. Hand made spices flourishing in the Biryani and Masala, fry items. Their Chutney for the Biryani is simply superb. But let me set the expectations right - this is mostly a Take Away place. They hardly have 3 tables and the ambience is pretty much village dhaba style. However good food often comes from hole in the wall places like these. Try their Biryani, Naatukozhi fry and Thalakari. You ll realize the authentic flavors you had been missing in high class restaurants.
