TGI Fridays - American restaurant in Kolkata - Kolkata, India

For want of a new out of the box experience we visited the restaurant. We ordered food from the menu. We ordered chicken burger and chicken Mexican sizzler. For both the dishes the food was not really good to say the least. The burger and chips were not upto the mark. In the second item the chicken was so tough it took some effort to cut it with a steak knife. It was hard to chew too. As for the rice, it was three fourth cooked and hard to chew. Thus our experience with the two different dishes was disappointing. As with big name and fame resturant though the ambience was relatively acceptable, the background music hosted by a DJ was at around 70 to 75 db (actual measurements). The thumping of the boom box made the experience worse and we couldn't enjoy the dinner. Prices are relatively greater than better food outside. Overall we came out with a saddened experience. So going by the hype of a foreign branding, location, reviews etc..is an issue for contemplation.

The place was quiet and relatively empty on a Friday afternoon. We went for lunch at around 2pm. The ambience was fine. Background music was being played, but it was not overly loud. Me and my friend could still converse at a reasonable volume. They suggested we go for the options from the BOGO (Buy One Get One) menu, but upon detailed examination, we felt that the normal menu had more attractive options (unsurprisingly). We ordered chicken wings, calamari rings, pork ribs, and Caldera beer. The chicken wings were ordinary, nothing to write home about. The calamari rings were extremely cheesy and just about perfect in terms of crispiness, flavour, and quantity. The pork ribs were very tasty, and the meat fell off the bones quite easily. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The beer was great, but this compliment should go to Caldera, and not to TGI Fridays. The washroom was quite old and not very well-maintained. This is something they need to look into. The bill was quite heavy on the pocket, and we were saved because of the Dineout discount. Not a place you can visit regularly, that's for sure.

Omg ... The best part was their live music.. the choice of songs and the singer ... really impressive. Loved their food ...the taste of the mashed potato was unique( sounds funny) but the sizzler was a must try dish... A bit costly but worth the money.

A good Resturent to be if you like American food and beverages. Booze options are also quite larg (based on my inexperienced view) Food : must try meat lovers pizza, shrimp pasta, double burger, brownies. Ambience : if you like loud music place evening is the best time, for a cozy and peaceful time brunch is perfect! Cons : in evening sometimes music gets too loud and can be irritating for anyone.

Located in the 2nd floor of Courtyard Forum near Elgin Road, a quite classy place to visit. You can do your shopping from some of the best brands here and go in for a drink and dinner to this place. The place has a great vibe, good food clubbed with best service and atmosphere. You can sit and sip drinks at the bar enjoying the matches during the happy hours for relaxing. We had a beer and Sangria(1+1 for happy hours as suggested) along with fried Calamari and Fish and chips as starters followed by a medium rare Classic beef steak and finally a caramel hot brownie with ice cream. Quantity is good and the quality of taste is great. So not to worry of the price. Anyone will return happy from this place. A great place to visit.

Loved the food as usual and TGIF is always one of my favourite cause of the great ambience as well as super tasty foods that they serve. We were again quite happy with the welcoming atmoshphere of this place. Mr. Biswajit Sinha took care of our today's dinner and served us real well, couldn't thank him enough for being so polite, kind and easy with us. Also thanks to Mr. Monty for giving us such nice discounts on the food. Overall great experience as usual.

I have visited this Restro-BAR 3times,But I never be disappointed at all. A Nice Place to hangout with your friends or Loveones. Nice Ambience. Soothing Music. Tasty Food. Situated in Forum Mall, this is a great place to have drinks and a wide variety of continental food. The ambience is really good. And the whiskey glaze chicken and shrimps was by far the best one. Overall, definitely recommended.
