Tezpur Picnic Place - Picnic ground in Tezpur - Sonitpur, India

Very nice place, enjoyed watching the evening sunset.

Good place. Will maintained. Entrance charge of Rs 50.00 per person is ok. But the boat ride is costly. Rs 2500.00 per speed boat for four persons is on higher side. Rest the place is nice with stunning views.

Area is fairly small. Not a very good place for picnic. Ganesh ghat is situated along side where people might go for sight seeing the view of grandiose Brahmaputra. Highly crowded during the peak season. Instead of picnic I suggest to go only for sight seeing at Ganesh ghat then to Agnigarh after that to Chitralekha udyan. After all this go for lunch at any of the many restaurants present in Tezpur.

It is a nice place to visit with your family on weekends. The Ganesh temple nearby is a spectacle and this place is the banks of Brahmaputra. An ideal place for picnic setup.

I came to place many times. beautiful place.but I am giving 2 due negligence of Tezpur municipality. there ia drain on picnic spot which is very dirty. municipality is not taking steps to make it concrete.it is matter of common sense of the authority
