Tenughat dam Gomia - Tourist attraction in Tilaia, Tenu - Bokaro, India

Very big dam. And open to go for public ones. But govt. Should have made it more popular and attractive by making resort like patratu dam. This dam is so big woth respect to patratu. Must visit in monsoons No parking chargers/ticket for anything

It is an ideal site for boating and is frequented by picnickers particularly during the winters, the dam is the major source of water for the Bokaro Steel plant, which is fed through a 29 km long canal. About 15 kms away from the dam is the Tenughat Thermal Power Station at Lalpania.

Best experience for me . Visitors can also walk along the garden and enjoy the fresh air and the beautiful scenery. Tenughat Dam is about 35 km from Bokaro and can easily reach by road. It is a great place to visit for nature lovers and those interested in water resource projects in the state. The scenic beauty around the dam attracts a lot of tourists every year. The lush green hills and the serene water of the reservoir create a beautiful backdrop for photography and picnics. The dam is also a popular spot for fishing and boating.

Good place You can also do boating, you can also do swimming, it is very big.

Nice place in tenu ghat dam and very enjoyable place

This is a one of the biggest and beautiful dam of jharkhand. Many people's come in here for fun and enjoy that's weekends specially in last December and January. When I visited that place I got thousands of people which are enjoying theirs picnic with friends and family. So you can come for enjoy the place and boating on the dam

Nice place to enjoy for weekend outings. Visited in Mid of July, so very less crowd. Scenic beauty with very clean water, I would say must take a bath in such a refreshing cold water. This place can be used as picnic spot too, cook your own meal but please take your belongings and wastes with you, don't litter the place. Request to government bodies - Everything is there but without or lowest maintenance, this can turn to be a very good picnic and tourist spot similar to Maithon dam, people can generate income. Your interest is duly requested.

The place is good for a short visit, there's nothing much to do but you can have some peaceful time taking in the scenic beauty of the reservoir. You can feel the stench coming from a drain below on one side of the dam and it spoils the fun. Would be good if the place can be developed as an attraction, no real efforts by authorities to make this a better visiting spot.
