Chennai open at SDAT the only ATP event in India. Great place with class tennis acts. With people like Nadal,Carlos Moya, Cilic,Agut, Youzhny, bopanna, paes, somdev. Great place for Indian tennis.

1 star for management! Firstly, courts are amazing BUT since 2023, they have made it very difficult for guests to play under the lights because of 1 or 2 people's mismanagement. They increased rates from 600 to around 1000 & we were ready to pay that but they refused to switch on the lights. There are 2 parallel courts in each row. We were only 2 people but they expected us to take both the courts. Ridiculous. Giving 1 star so management will look into this.

To attract crowds they renovated the full court fixed new lights etc. Now after the tourney is over they claim court is under maintenance still and are not opening floodlights to play for regular members who have been playing for last 5 years.poorly and horribly mismanaged . Great infrastructure but worst management . Employ proper people to maintain this place and not some frauds!

These smaller courts are in addition to the Centre Court. Watching Chennai Open matches here is un matched as this place offers view from closest quarter.

Courts are good but lights are not that great if you don't pay for the membership. Must book in prior if you want to play. 500per hour in the lights. The membership is 8850 per month (Mondays holiday) Either 6.30pm to 7.30pm slot or 7.30pm to 8.30pm

SDAT has hosted international tennis tournaments, is open for coaching and pay and play. A separate area is allocated for wall practice too. Morning and evening slots can be booked for playing, for a nominal fee, per hour. Under lights also available. Walking is permitted for a very small fee, make use of the big "8" walking area. A fully equipped gym can also be used, by paying for the membership, which is again a very small amount. Ample Car and bike parking available. Lush greenery is a treat for the eyes and provides clean air. Monday is a holiday

The training thought not professional is a good pass time for children. They teach children between the ages of 8-18 and the fees for a year is rupees 8400 per year per hour for the coaching the fees for booking tennis courts for oneself for an hour ( for all ages) is rupees 400 in the morning and afternoon and rupees 500 after 6oclock pm
