Temple City - Family Veg Restaurant - South Indian restaurant in Madurai - Madurai, India

Everywhere in South India have I have gone, I have the same complaint. Food is good but service is unsatisfactory. Same is case with this iconic Temple city veg restaurant which has multiple branches in Madurai. One more thing, they should have few north Indian dishes option. Because as tasty as it is, we do get bored of eating same dosa, vada uthapam etc.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a famous hotel in the heart of Madurai, Temple City. The hotel is located right opposite the Matuthavani Madurai bus stand, making it a convenient spot for travelers and locals alike. I was excited to try out the hotel's signature dish, and I was not disappointed. The chili vadai was simply delicious, with just the right amount of spice to give it a kick. We also tried out some other local delicacies like idly and disa, which were equally tasty. The hotel had a cozy and welcoming ambiance, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The menu had a wide variety of dishes to choose from, and everything was reasonably priced. We ended our meal with a cup of coffee, which was the perfect way to round off our dining experience. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Madurai. Whether you're a local or a tourist, the food and hospitality at Temple City are sure to leave a lasting impression. Having this located just opposite to the Mattuthavani or M.G.R bus stand in madurai, anyone who is immediately planning to have a great food with quite good environment and a healthy stuff preferably for the vegetarians would be of great choice to go ahead. Can dine in with family and kids too To make a quick dinner ,I got in and had one paneer dosa and one tea! Served with great quality and with nothing affecting our diet routine or anything , nothing is much spicy , kids can also be fed here. The total cost was around 150 along with one more snack that I got from them . Overall good to dine in without any worries of our health! Thank you !

It is a pure veg restaurant and ranked very high on Google. We went to its restaurant opposite Bus stand because of its proximity to our hotel, V Grand Sterling. Like every other restaurant, we found it to be divided into family/ac and other non ac. We opted for the ac one as it had less seats/Less waiting/better ambience. The location of this outlet is opposite bus stand due to which it is always beaming with people. We went there twice, once in night and other during day time. I found it to be full always. It has everything, from light snacking to main course and depending upon the time of the day, options change. We opted for dosa/North Indian sabze/roti both of the times. Rawa dosa was very tasty and so were chutney sambar. South Indian food is tasty and is recommended. North Indian dishes have a different taste and might not be liked by everyone. Service is also good and fast. Everyone does their work seamlessly and with efficiency coordination. Staff works very hard. The only negative is ambience/atmosphere. Being near to bus stand, it is always full with people and has a great rush. There are all sorts of people dining. Toilets were dirty & full. Hygiene & cleaning requires more attention. Given a choice, I will avoid going here with my family. However, if you are travelling from the bus stand, it is a great choice. Travellers having leisure time, may avoid visiting here and try to visit other outlet of Temple City.

Hygienic food preparation, awesome staffs and superb tasty and quality food. Rates are Bit high, Service is quite good. Good ambience

It's nice place to have a break and food, it's just opposite the bus stop, they have lots of variety of food, good taste, meals are too good, dosa is also awesome, Gigurdhada is awesome , service is simply mind blowing, very hard working people, please give them respect while talking to them, that is my request to every one, over all highly recommend place to have fun, entertainment and food

I ate Pongal better. Sambar ok chutney better. Restaurant near Bus stand. Car parking available. Restroom available. Service better. Atmosphere good. I ate Pongal hair inside Pongal I ate 6 months Then I saw and told the waiter they changed and they asked if I would give another Pongal i said I don't want to give poori . Please don't put hair in food . Give hygiene food we pay only and eating

Some servers have too much attitude... They need to behave kindly and also with manner
