There are two hill temples in this area and one hill u need to walk through the steps for 1300 and the other is 400 steps u will have drinking water facility in both the steps through the way till u reach temple u cannot carry any eatables from down to hill there are full of monkeys u cannot even hide in ur dress it will check so better avoid eatables in step 500 there is refreshments available hot and cold beverages till steps 200 u will get some local fruit and snacks and prasadam is sold for 20 RS in three varieties in both the temple parking is safe and has both 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler.i saw few works going for rope car think so it looks like that I am not sure if it's for rope car then we can expect it in a year. U will enjoy the trip because u can see lot of funny things done by the monkeys.

Parking available closer to the starting point of the periya malai

Nice place. Just been to that place by god's grace. You have a big parking area, opposite to temple, you can safely park your car or 2 wheeler. parking fee somewhere between 10 to 25 based on the vehicle type. beware of monkey. Suggest to pray Hanumanji and then to start claim. Rest shelter and shops are there.

The place is small and restrooms are also available but not clear. Pooja items will be sold here.

As per the Legend, Lord Narasimha appeared before Sapta rishi and blessed with Mukti. It is said that Lord appeared for a span of 24 min, hence whoever offers prayers on this hill for 24 mins will be relieved from sins. Hence, the hill got the name Kadigachalam, where Kadigai means 24 mins and Chalam means hill. It is also believed that Lord Narasimha appeared in Yoga posture before Prahalad and offered Mukti. This temple was built during the reign of the Vijayanagara Dynasty. Sri Acharya Swami and Swami Doddachar contributed to building the temple. As per the folklore, Anjaneya stood by the King Indrathymna during the war in slaying the demons, Arakkan Nikumban and rescued his kingdom. Lord Anjaneya self-manifested here in a Yoga posture. Devotees take bath in Chakra Theertham before trekking small hill. It is said that Yoga Anjaneya Swamy's eyes point the feet of Yoga Narasimha Swamy. It is said that Varadaraja Perumal offered Darshan in his Garuda Vahanam to an ardent devotee Doddacharya, who was not able to visit Kancheepuram due to old age. To reach Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple, it is 1305 steps and is located 705 ft above the ground.
