Nice looking from Top. Gajoldoba Dam is avarage looking.
Teesta River originates from the Tso Lhamo Lake at an elevation of about 5280 m in the North Sikkim district. It is the right bank major tributary of the Brahmaputra river system. Like many other major Himalayan rivers of India, like the Ganga, Teesta is a glacier-fed river. Pahurni glacier, Khangse glacier and ChhoLhamo Lake are also considered the sources of the Teesta River. Teesta River is considered a valuable resource from which hydroelectricity can be produced to power the cities of Sikkim.
Mighty river, brown in colour, having a layer of mist on the surface...
Awesome view River color is different from normal rivers. Though this time due to heavy rainfall and water colour looks like yellowish (mud) but generally colour is near greenish / blueish very very long river and cold water
One of the major rivers in North Bengal. Best part is the view from Lover's meet view point where Teesta is meeting with the Rangeet.
Very nice view.
large river with heavy flow of water. During the monsoon it flow heavily. This river covers West Bengal and Sikkim geographic region.
Teesta River is now converted into two big lakes behind two dams at Kalijhora and Rambhi. The water is turbid and stinks.
